Asuka actually likes him. Thinks he's something of a bad boy and he's an older guy, which she tends to go for. Seeing as Kaji isn't likely to show up anytime soon, she's kinda crushing on him and would probably like to spend more time with him in the future. He also tends to put up with her arrogance, so that works out well for her.
