After passing through, they'll see a twisted landscape that resembles nothing like the real world. There are ruins here, older than thought. Some places are darker.
Others are brighter.
But the one thread in common is that none of it makes sense. The landscape shifts and changes on a whim, the denizens of this place are completely mad, up can be down, down can be up, powers may or may not work--which is a problem because there may be something out there in the mists. Something...waiting for them. Waiting for them all to venture deep enough in.

When she finally reached the clearing, she exhaled and walking past the lonely forest, happy to find some scenery that might be a bit more inviting. For this she would be sadly mistaken.
Once she left the forest, she came upon a landscape more perplexing than even anything she'd seen in Roxie's dreamscaping (save for Roxie's actual temples). The ground here was uneven and hard to walk on, and Katara had to take care not to trip despite how normally sure footed she was. Ahead she could see what was unmistakably lanterns of some kind, although none of them seemed to be lit. The sky swirled with clouds, but there seemed to be no danger of rain, and. in fact, this place felt more like it was underwater somehow, because the landscape felt as if it were muted somehow. she could see some sort of creatures in the distance too, but whether they meant her any kind of harm she couldn't tell. Of course, the most eye catching thing wasn't any of these things, despite how surreal they were. Even the floating submarine, which Katara did take a moment to observe, took second fiddle to the house in the center of all of this.
It was enormous to say the least, but unlike any kind of home Katara had seen in her travels. It had several tall towers, and a look to it that seemed to give off the vibe of STAY AWAY in capital letters. Despite this, Katara was still very curious, so she ventured closer, willing to see the inside of this house.
