Bonus fact 1: Wyn is the first mad scientist in about 150 years to make it past the age of twenty alive. Bonus fact 1b: She doesn't make it much past twenty, though. At twenty-four, her sanity starts drifting a little bit. At twenty-six, she's shot and killed by a Peacekeeper after she kills about fifty troops in the name of 'field testing'.
Bonus fact 2: Wyn will, eventually, be forced into working for an Earl who's been cursed with an early death by some political enemies. She hates him, mostly because he was able to trick her into a completely binding agreement to help him. She literally could not refuse to help, which frustrates her even more. Bonus fact 2b: People constantly mistake the Earl and Wyn for an item. Wyn runs with it, taking a sadistic glee in making the Earl squirm. She also calls him Hex, a name he detests. Bonus fact 2c: Their relationship bears a striking resemblance to that of Julian and Wyn, which is both interesting and completely unplanned.
Bonus fact 3: Wyn never knew her mother, and she doesn't know why she left or why she's never had any contact with her. This used to bother her, until she realized that someone who would willingly abandon a five-year-old, a three-year-old, and a newborn wasn't someone she particularly cared to know.
Bonus fact 4: Wyn will never, ever give out her full name willingly. Bonus fact 4b: This is mostly because she hates the name Gwydion, but there's a little bit of self-preservation reflex thrown in there as well. Wyn's been living with a group of people who can do all sorts of nasty things with a name (including forcing someone into doing your bidding; see bonus fact two).
Bonus fact 5: Wyn has two brothers, one of whom is an accountant and the other is a member of the Provisional IRA. Bonus fact 5b: The brother who is involved in the Provos, Taliesin, was actually inspired by Wyn's father. Her dad did some pretty effective rabble-rousing during the late 1970s, and Tal just wanted to make him proud. (Now her father is a rather controversial professor of Celtic mythology.) Bonus fact 5c: The brother who's an accountant is also pyrokinetic. The Provo is a total Badass Normal, and ended up teaching her how to drive a car, defend herself, pick a lock, and other slightly-illegal-but-very-useful skills.
Bonus fact 6: Wyn and her brothers were named after mythological figures, and Wyn herself was named after the Welsh magician Gwydion. Yes, this magician is a man. Yes, this is also why she hates her name.
Bonus fact 7: Wyn is fiercely loyal to her friends and family and to her ideals, so beware if you betray and/or try to hurt any of them. She's generally a nice person, but God help you if you make that mistake. She's vicious if you somehow manage to get on her bad side.
Bonus fact 8: Wyn often sings or hums while she works as a tool to help her focus. She often doesn't realize she's doing it, and mentioning it tends to jolt her out of it.
Bonus fact 9: Wyn has rather severe ADHD, although she's learned to manage it without the aid of prescriptions. Bonus fact 9b: She was on a combination of psychostimulants and antipsychotics for about three months when she was sixteen. The combination of insomnia and sudden and dramatic weight loss convinced her doctors that this plan was a bad one.
Bonus fact 10: She's more bothered by the fact that she isn't bothered about the death of that pirate than about his actual death. Bonus fact 10b: She's trying to rationalize it by telling herself that he was going to kill Billy if she didn't do something. It's not really working.
... okay, and now I'm done abusing the numbering system. Seriously.
