The Sort-Your-Characters Meme!

Totally not stolen from anywhere, it's the Sort-Your-Characters Meme! 8D

Basically, if the Sorting Hat were to be placed on your characters' heads right now, which Hogwarts House would they be placed in?

Gryffindor: "The particular characteristics of students Sorted into Gryffindor are courage and chivalry, of which the lion is the symbol. Gryffindor's house colours are red and gold."

Ravenclaw: "Members of this house are characterised by their intelligence and cleverness. Its house colours are blue and bronze, and its symbol is the eagle."

Hufflepuff: "Hufflepuff is the most inclusive among the four houses, valuing hard work, patience, friendship and fair play rather than a particular aptitude in its members. Its emblematic animal is the badger, and yellow and black are its colours."

Slytherin: "Slytherin is traditionally home to students who exhibit such traits as cunning and ambition. Its emblematic animal is the snake and its colours are green and silver."

Post threads for each of your characters below, and watch to see which houses your character gets voted into. Feel free to include your thoughts on your characters, too, because this is not an IC meme. Be sure to vote for other people as well, and have fun!

Here are the current results, based on the votes each person received. I'll keep updating the list as more results come in, so this could change...

Gryffindor: 17 (Wyn, Kang, Samus, Obi-Wan, Mai, Kirk, Kate, Dean, Impulse, Guy, Caelestine, Scottish-Jamie, Mulan, Goliath, Will Vandom, Chief, Bella)
Hufflepuff: 14 (Hunter, Tess Lee, Nanoha, Spider-Man, Fate, Ahava, Rei, Xander, Vivio, Komali, Kaylee, Katara, Aeneas, Caden)
Ravenclaw: 13 (Ranger-Billy, Mei Ling, Haku, Dr. Augustine, Indigo, Ted Kord, Allen, Dustin, Indy, the Major, B5, Lyle, Luna)
Slytherin: 13 (Roxie, Terry, Lash, Sawyer, Gambit, Asuka, Motoko, Spaurh, Damian, Sheeana, Alessa, Marco, Jack Spicer)
Batusi: 1 (Batman. Duh.)

Aaaaand I agree.

Re: Roxie Schreiber

I say Ravenclaw. I actually don't think Slytherin at all, because Roxie's schemes seem to me a lot more duty-oriented and learning-oriented than towards any personal gain.

Ffff. Ravenclaw.

[identity profile] twelvevoltman.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Slytherin.

Re: Kang

You make a strong argument for Hufflepuff. In the end Imma have to go with that, if only because I could see Gryffindor being more appropriate for the party tank with no interest in running a nation, which Kang obviously is not.

Re: Terry

I say Slytherin for most of the bat-house.

Cunning and scheming being kind of their things, and also I like seeing good guys in the "bad" Hogwarts house. Cunning and ambition are not bad on their own.

Gryffindor hell yes.

Re: Mei Ling

Oh totally Ravenclaw.

Re: Lash

[identity profile] twelvevoltman.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeaaaaah Slytherin.

Re: INDIANA

[identity profile] twelvevoltman.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I say Ravenclaw, just because Gryffindors aren't the ONLY ones who can be brave and adventurous, and Indy seems to me to Do It For the History, not for the thrill (although that comes in at a close second.)

Ravenclaw buddies!!!

Re: Damian Wayne

Imma say Slytherin too, even though I put pretty much all of the bat-family in Slytherin. Not because it's evil, but because schemes and ambition are kind of their thing.

Re: Mai

Me, Imma say Gryffindor.

Because it takes mad guts to do what Mai does - not just when she completely and utterly defies Azula in the name of love, knowing full well what she's capable of, but because she was doing it before, repeatedly, in all these little "she can throw all the lightning she wants" ways.

Mai's got backbone.

Can we just put every green lantern into Gryffindor and be done with it?

A-durr.

Re: Katara

[identity profile] found-myway.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Gryffindor.

[identity profile] found-myway.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Yessss putting non-evil characters in the "eeeeeevil" house. I approve.

Re: Goliath

[identity profile] greenestlantern.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Gryffindor. Absolutely no doubt.

I'm going with Billy on this one and saying Gryffindor. She's got the spirit and the drive and bravery.

Eh, Salaak and Soranik Natu could be Ravenclaws. But yeah, mostly Gryffindors.
