The Sort-Your-Characters Meme!

Totally not stolen from anywhere, it's the Sort-Your-Characters Meme! 8D

Basically, if the Sorting Hat were to be placed on your characters' heads right now, which Hogwarts House would they be placed in?

Gryffindor: "The particular characteristics of students Sorted into Gryffindor are courage and chivalry, of which the lion is the symbol. Gryffindor's house colours are red and gold."

Ravenclaw: "Members of this house are characterised by their intelligence and cleverness. Its house colours are blue and bronze, and its symbol is the eagle."

Hufflepuff: "Hufflepuff is the most inclusive among the four houses, valuing hard work, patience, friendship and fair play rather than a particular aptitude in its members. Its emblematic animal is the badger, and yellow and black are its colours."

Slytherin: "Slytherin is traditionally home to students who exhibit such traits as cunning and ambition. Its emblematic animal is the snake and its colours are green and silver."

Post threads for each of your characters below, and watch to see which houses your character gets voted into. Feel free to include your thoughts on your characters, too, because this is not an IC meme. Be sure to vote for other people as well, and have fun!

Here are the current results, based on the votes each person received. I'll keep updating the list as more results come in, so this could change...

Gryffindor: 17 (Wyn, Kang, Samus, Obi-Wan, Mai, Kirk, Kate, Dean, Impulse, Guy, Caelestine, Scottish-Jamie, Mulan, Goliath, Will Vandom, Chief, Bella)
Hufflepuff: 14 (Hunter, Tess Lee, Nanoha, Spider-Man, Fate, Ahava, Rei, Xander, Vivio, Komali, Kaylee, Katara, Aeneas, Caden)
Ravenclaw: 13 (Ranger-Billy, Mei Ling, Haku, Dr. Augustine, Indigo, Ted Kord, Allen, Dustin, Indy, the Major, B5, Lyle, Luna)
Slytherin: 13 (Roxie, Terry, Lash, Sawyer, Gambit, Asuka, Motoko, Spaurh, Damian, Sheeana, Alessa, Marco, Jack Spicer)
Batusi: 1 (Batman. Duh.)

Oh please, SUCH a Ravenclaw!

Re: Mulan

Courageous and loyal. Gryffindor all the way.

Hufflepuff!!! ::glomps::

Re: Will

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
It was a hard one, but given her attitude and general aura, I'm giving her a Hufflepuff vote.

You also get a Ravenclaw vote from me.

Re: Sheeana Brugh

Maybe Tess or Arha would say differently?

Yeah, going Hufflepuff here, too.

Gryffinclaw!

Okay, maybe more Gryffindor, but still.

See, I'm arguing for Gryffindor. When it comes to hard work, Will's kind of lazy, but when the world's on the line and things get really serious and the Big Bad is threatening her with a future of pointless loneliness if she doesn't give in, you can count on her to do what's brave and right over what's desirable or practical.

Re: Roxie Schreiber

[identity profile] whiteish-hat.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm. Roxie's kind of hard for me. I think, yes, Slytherclaw with the push to Ravenclaw.

I think that makes my decision Ravenclaw in the end.

Seconding Hufflepuff. He definitely has the smarts for Ravenclaw but it's not his intelligence that makes him a great hero, it's his perseverence. I mean, for all the technical knowhow and bugmobiles he'd still rather duke it out with his fists.

Gonna agree with the Gryffindor vote. :)

Re: Spider-Man

[identity profile] whiteish-hat.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm. Yeah, I think he's definitely loyal enough for to be a 'Puff. But intelligent enough to go Ravenclaw as well.

I'll go with Hufflepuff, simply because it's not right to disagree with the mun. :)

Thirding.

I'm leaning towards Gryffindor here.

Re: Mulan

[identity profile] sent-herself.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Gosh, now I'm thinking of an HP AU where Mulan and Katara are transfer students who bond over their shared house by sparring in the common room and trading stories of punching and stabbing and fighting for God and Country. And then they braid each others' hair.

EVERYTHING FOR GLORY SCIENCE.

Fixed it for you.

Oh, yes, absolutely Gryffindor.

Re: Mei Ling

[identity profile] whiteish-hat.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Definitely Ravenclaw.

Re: Sawyer

[identity profile] whiteish-hat.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
*raises hand* Slytherin from this corner, too.

Re: INDIANA

[identity profile] whiteish-hat.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd go Ravenclaw, because even though he's brave and adventurous and all, he does it out of the love of knowledge. And because it should be in a museum.

Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi

[identity profile] whiteish-hat.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Go Go Gryffindor!

Re: Gambit

[identity profile] whiteish-hat.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I say this as someone who dearly loves the character and has played him before...

Slytherin. (Though Gryffindor goes better with his eyes...)

Re: Dean Winchester

[identity profile] whiteish-hat.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
You know, I'm going to buck the trend. Yes, Dean's brave and all, but he's loyal, first. To a fault. To getting himself KILLED and going to HELL because he couldn't protect his brother.

Hufflepuff. All. The. Way.

Re: Castiel

[identity profile] whiteish-hat.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
...

I admit, I'm kind of torn here. But I think I might have to go Gryffindor with Cas. It takes a lot of courage to turn away from everything you've known when you know it's wrong.
