Tell Me Why...

Since everything in the world begs questions, and we would all love to have answers to the "Why"s...and we can't always have those answers. However, on the meatship crack-comm, we can. I thought that this meme would be stimulating for the brain and considerability of our persons.

The game is simple:

1. Post a comment of your character accepting/not-accepting-but-making-due-with being part of the meme
2. Other characters comment on the first comment with questions. Anything goes.
3. The character being questioned answers the questions. Truthfully. You're allowed to gracefully skirt around answering a particular part.
4. Enjoy.

This reminds me - I really need to work on that rambling problem of mine. But, hey, go ahead and ask away.

Yeah, uh, where's your accent from?

Spooky stories party!

I only gloat at my enemies. You may annoy me, but you're not my enemy.

You know I'll do what I can.

Or you could wait until such a time we did meet (since there's a possibility we won't) and go from there. After all, knowing one of my counterparts doesn't mean you know all of us. My own experiences taught me that much.

If you can't answer these kinds of questions, then you might as well be.

But see, you're doing better. Now, a regular sprinkler has nozzles arranged at angles on a freely rotating wheel such that when water is pumped out of them, the resulting jets rotate the wheel. If said sprinkler were submerged in a tank of water and made to suck in the surrounding fluid, which way would it turn?

Really? That's interesting. And explains why he seemed so shocked I'd never heard of you.

[Yay, headcanon? It can be fun to figure out sometimes.]

[identity profile] smartnass.livejournal.com 2010-02-07 07:15 am (UTC)(link)
Shocked?

I am one of the original members in our Legion. He's used to having me around.

[I had it figured out a bit, but then saphie gave me new ideas and asdrtgyh]

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2010-02-07 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
You didn't offend me, I just don't see the point in planning for something that may never happen, that's all.

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2010-02-07 07:19 am (UTC)(link)
Shocked. It was off-putting how much it seemed to upset him, considering how he'd been behaving previously. But I suppose I may have been the same if he'd not known who someone like Superman was.

[SHE DOES THAT. Or pre-empts something I was going to tell her. I clearly need to get more scheme-y.]

I think "Vision Viewer" will do. [This is why Lyle is not known for creative names.]

It's Border Planet Native, I guess you could call it. Most folks on the Central Planets sound more like most of the people 'round here.

[identity profile] worm-dancer.livejournal.com 2010-02-07 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
It is part of our training, yes.

[identity profile] smartnass.livejournal.com 2010-02-07 07:23 am (UTC)(link)
Really? Huh. [There's a pause here as Lyle contemplates this.]

It's a shame our Legions haven't met.

[I will scheme with you. We can make ourselves mustaches and twirl them.]

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2010-02-07 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
...Legion cookies?

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2010-02-07 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
It'd be interesting. Though I also have to wonder how much property damage we'd end up with by the end of it. The Science-Police don't need any more reasons to dislike us, after all.

[TOGETHER, WE WILL TAKE OVER THE WORLD. ...though I dunno how moustache-twirling would go with my scheme-coffee. Hmm.]

[identity profile] smartnass.livejournal.com 2010-02-07 07:36 am (UTC)(link)
Well, so long as you and Brainy are contained, there shouldn't be too many explosions.

[You could get a white cat and put a mustache on it. Then you could alternate between petting it and twirling its mustache.]

Do you know why humans seem so obsessed with romantic matters then?
bonnypiperlad: (hrmph)

[personal profile] bonnypiperlad 2010-02-07 07:37 am (UTC)(link)
Not this again.

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2010-02-07 07:38 am (UTC)(link)
Clearly you haven't met Lightning Lad on a bad day. Or Kel-El. ...or several other Legionnaires. I think I do more repair work than actually inventing things.

[asjgkh kitty. ♥ ...I'd probably end up naming it Koko.]

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2010-02-07 07:38 am (UTC)(link)
If they're out of the galaxy, how will you get them?

[identity profile] smartnass.livejournal.com 2010-02-07 07:40 am (UTC)(link)
Kel-el? [Mun once again fails in remembering if they mentioned him in a conversation before.] We usually make Chuck do repairs.

[If you name him Koko, you can wear him as a hat or a scarf, because Koko is a fashion accessory.]
