Asuka grumbled to herself, leaning against the wall of the observation deck. Another podpop, another bunch of useless idiots. It was always the same reactions - the disbelief, the anger, the multitude of questions. Morons. Yes, everything they had with gone. Everything was new and strange. But there were never any familiar faces. She'd been here for how long and not even one person had shown up (not even her mother, she thought with a twinge of shame and anger). At least then the universe would be fair to her. It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair at all.

Her train of thought derailed a moment later as she caught sight of a familiar head of black hair through the crowd. She blinked and pushed off of the wall and started moving through the milling figures. Yes. that was definitely him. An awkward-looking, shy boy standing by himself and staring forlornly at the people around him - but never quite making eye contact. He was alone in a sea of people. That was so Shinji.

She grinned to herself as she very nearly tackled him from behind, "Shinji, you idiot! Why did it take you so long to get here?"

Shinji let out a yelp and stumbled, arms flailing for a moment as he tried to keep his balance. His eyes bugged out as he stared at Asuka and he stammered a reply. "Au-Ausaka? What... what are you doing here? Where...?"

Asuka released him, grinning widely. She didn't really want to admit it, but finally having him around (even if it was Shinji) made her feel happy. It was good to see a familiar face. She slugged him in the shoulder playfully and he winced, rubbing his arm ruefully. "Welcome to Stacy! Come on! I'm going to have to explain everything to you - and probably extra-slowly so you actually understand it."

Asuka grabbed him by the arm and started dragging the poor boy through the crowd. Things were finally looking up.

"HEATHEN GOD," the Emperor yelled, "DO YOU HAVE ANY FOURS?"

"Now, now, no need to yell~" Slaanesh said creepily, handing over the cards. "Got any sixes, Khorney boy?"

"KHORNE'S NAME NOT KHORNEY BOY, IS KHORNE. GIRLY MAN TAKE CARDS AND SHUT UP. DOES NURGLE HAVE ANY TWOS?"

"Ohoho, yes yes I do!" the bloated, rotting god of plague said with a chortle, despite having to hand over the cards. "Now, oh wise one, do you have any tens?"

"Hah, how'd I know you were going to go for that?" the ever shifting god of change said as he handed the cards over. He looked over at the last player. "And what about you? Got any aces?"

Cargn looked over at the Chaos God, giving him a disturbing grin.

"Go fish."

This had to be the weirdest vision he's ever had.

"I'm sooooo sorry!" Shamal said, for about the twentieth time.

Somehow, despite all logic, the blonde mage--known for being horrible at cooking--had even managed to screw up something as simple as scooping ice cream.

And now, the walls, and everyone in the room, were covered in Rocky Road.

"How...how do you screw up something like that?" Signum said, completely baffled. "I don't know how that's even possible."

"Sorry!"

Matt strummed his guitar, thinking of a song as he continued to play aimlessly.

"This I believe
That everything's right
We're here in the ship
And there's people in sight.

And amidst pain and strife and chaos

Matt blinked and rubbed his head. "No that doesn't quite work..."

"Roll the dice, that thing bouncing all around

Imagination and monkeys and other things must say
this d20 is going to shed some light today.

We've got a mission
To loot and pillage and plunder

Matt grinned. "Ah nerd music."

Considering the numerous enemies, he hadn't expected one to actually tie him down and mock him ever since the young days. "You'll never get away with this Animo!"

Animo laughed. "Really Benjamin, you're without a way to get out. Just eat the cake and you'll be free to go."

"And when it turns me into a walrus," replied Ben acidly. "What are you going to do to me?"

"Why Mr. Bond, I expect you to have cake and eat it too." And Animo let out a peal of demented laughter.

Ben rolled his eyes. "I liked you better as D'void."

"Uh help?" inquired Rein as she hung stuck in the grate. "Anyone?"

She wiggled, trapped uncomfortably within the vent. She had gone in to support it and then gotten stuck and couldn't pop out of it lest breaking something important. "Hayate-chan I can't move from here, get help!"

"Don't move Rein, you'll mess up the photoshoot!" exclaimed Hayate and Rein hung her head. Hayate was getting more and more daring with her photos and cosplay to feature her "stuck in a grate".

"This is hard magical theory, it's not like building a castle out of peaches and puppies!" exclaimed Shari.

"I dunno, that'd be kinda cute," replied Rein and the tech sighed.

"You really need to work on that," replied Shari and Rein giggled, rubbing her head.

It was over. Negi was ermined as a punishment.

He looked up forlornly at the skies. "This has to be a bad dream. It has to be! I'll just pinch myself and I'll wake up."

Pinch.

"... maybe another one!"

Pinch pinch.

Negi was getting frantic now. "Awwwwww~!"

"Hey Aniki, check it out!" exclaimed Chamo and Negi turned in shock to see him standing there in his old body. "I got your body, isn't this cool?"

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!" Negi's scream was cut off by a bucket of air being hurled at him which quickly turned into a solid impact.
