"This's awesome," Trudy said, indicating the mug of cactus juice. "Where'd you get it, 'sthere enough to last 'n 'sthe guy who made it rich yet?"
"You've asked that same question four times in the past half hour," Kang said, and Trudy could tell by his tone of voice that he was more than a little amused. She scowled.
"Hey hey hey. 'Ryou laughin' at me, Legartijo?"
"What in the world is a-"
"Means lizard, lizard," Trudy said, and got up off her barstool, wobbling out of range before Kang could punch her in retaliation. She swerved out of the way and the room spun a bit. "Whooooo, time f'r some fresh air," she said, staggering toward the front door. She hummmed one of the particularly dirty drinking songs Kang had taught her over the course of the night as she hit the front door of the tavern, wandering outside where she could crane her neck back and look up. "Donde estan, estrellas bonitas?" she said quietly, and then turned around-
"Yaaaaaaaaaaaagh! Kang!" Kang came running, and she pointed wildly at the roof of the tavern. "Is that dragon real?"
He stood silently with his arms crossed and one eyebrow raised at her. "Alright," he said. "Time for you to put down the cactus juice and go to bed."
