So what's your characters birthday? Do they have a canon birthday? If not, did you pick one or if you were going to pick one, what would it be? Why would you pick that day? What zodiac sign would that make them? Does that fit them?

For Samus I would pick August 6th, because that was the release date of the original Metroid game. This would make Samus a Leo which apparently are "uled by the heart and operates from this dimension too. Leo's are born fortunate. Charismatic and positive-thinking they attract not only an abundance of friends and opportunities, but manage to survive life's stormy times with style and good humour."

...yeah. Not Samus.

For Mei Ling I would pick December 29th because this is the day the radio was patented. This would make her a Capricorn. It fits her pretty well, as Capricorns are "never content until reaching the top" and are "patient and persevering. They reach their goals because they know the longest journey commences with a single step and that the first step is always the most difficult." She's a little more happy-go-lucky than this though.

So anyway, your turn now.

My characters both have canon birthdays (though the 'canon' of Billy's is questionable as it was in a supplemental material that was contradicted in parts by later ones). Oddly enough, they're near polar opposites personality-wise but both have the same zodiac sign as me, Aries.

Billy Cranston : April 1st
That's right, according to a Mighty Morphin interactive CD that was distributed in cereal boxes, the first Blue Ranger was born on April Fools' Day, making him an Aries. I guess the writers were going for a joke feel, because Billy was often the butt of jokes and pranks before he learned how to fight? Or maybe it's a 'joke' because he was usually the most serious Ranger.

He definitely has the 'stubborn ram' aspect of an Aries, as shown by his fixation on making the best inventions ever and the pride he develops once he becomes confident and capable. There's a certain passion to his work too, which I guess could be considered an Aries quality.

Rei Hino : April 17th
Naoko Takeuchi deliberately picked the birthdays of all the Sailor Senshi to match the Zodiac signs with their powers and personalities. The planet and element of Aries, Mars and fire, match Rei perfectly.

Personality-wise, she's much closer to the traditional Aries type than Billy. Impulsive, stubborn, short-tempered, but also passionate and courageous. She will burn if you piss her off and get too close, but that often translates to an unbreakable loyalty to her friends.

Cielo doesn't have a birthday. :( He wasn't ever born.

But lets pretend!

For some reason I picture him having a summer birth, where everything is warm and alive with clear blue skies and awesomeness. Which could also make him a Cancer.

Cancers usually have strong maternal, protective instincts, a kind of mother hen. Family is usually very important to this sign, and these tend to be quite patriotic. They are clingy and do not react well to disloyalty - they usually make bonds which they expect to last forever. Of course, they invest a lot of themselves into these bonds. They are not superficial in most of the things they do.

That is very Cielo, so I'll say his birthday for shits and giggles is July 15th~ It also means he falls under both the western and Hindu durations, which is cool because he's from a very Hindu oriented game.

i gave ronon his actor's birthday, august 1, since he doesn't have a canon birthday date. being august 1 would make him a leo which i think would suit ronon well :D

For the Chief, I had a couple of ideas. I couldn't find, however, exact dates for the battle of Thermopylae. :P Neither the release date of the original Halo, nor the one for Marathon (Halo's spiritual successor) matches well with an astrological sign nor a theme of 117 or 7 that Bungie is fond of throwing EVERYWHERE.

So for him, I have chosen January 17th. Not only does that make his DOB 1/17 (lololol), it also makes him a Capricorn. And it fits him remarkably well. He's very serious business with a wry sense of humor. He's very organized, responsible, and takes a lot on himself. He's also very stubborn and reluctant to give up. And he naturally gravitates to leadership roles. I jawdropped when I read the description, it's very close! O.o

For Jack Spicer, I had to think a little bit. I decided to go with November 1st as that is the original air date of Xiaolin Showdown. I'm not sure whether this is correct or not and am a touch too lazy to check at the moment, but I at least like to think the puzzle box he got in the first episode was a birthday present. This makes him a Scorpio. He definitely has the intensity, pride, and focus. Even if he is a bit fail at everything.

Bella. Bella, Bella, Bella. I actually have some help with her. I took typical whelping months for grey wolves and used the US Navy's moon phase records to figure out when full moons were (because she is an Ahroun) for those months two years ago (as I've decided that's how old she is) in 2007. One of the resulting dates, April 2nd, is what I selected. This makes her an Aries. It fits her very, very well, with a take no prisoners and fast-moving, quick temper. Bella's sheer bluntness, openness, and stubbornness, and ferocity with little cunning are all there. Even better, it's the sign of Ares, the god of war. What more could she ask for?

And lastly, for Grif, I chose May 10th. This makes him a Taurus, which isn't quite right but I'll take it. The "motivated by self preservation" and "slow moving" sort of thing fits his laziness and apathy as well as anything else. Why May 10th? Because that, my friends, is the first day of the regular Grifball season and that's just how his luck rolls. :P

All rightie. Only one of my boys has a canon birthday. That would be Dick Grayson/Nightwing, whose birthday was the first day of spring and is mostly placed as March 20. This makes him a Pisces/Aries cusp, which is important because he tends to display a lot of Aries traits (leadership, energetic, quick-witted, confident, daredevil) though tempered with Pisces traits (compassionate, intuitive, idealistic, imaginative).

Jono doesn't have a canon birthday, but I tend to put it at either October 30th or, as with this incarnation, October 31st. This makes him a Scorpio. It tends to fit him pretty well and, in some ways, pretty literally according to the page I'm looking at. Even when they appear self-controlled and calm there is a seething intensity of emotional energy under the placid exterior. They are like the volcano not far under the surface of a calm sea, it may burst into eruption at any moment. Given the boy's powers, this isn't that odd.

None of my pups have been given canon birthdays. Well... the closest would Nathan since there was an online comic where his mom was writing a letter to his father about him taking his first steps sometime before Nov 8 1968. And heroes wiki estimates it's usually around a child's first birthday for that which means possibly like an Oct birthday for him. Which means either Libra or Scorpio, possibly cusp. Which come to think of it? I could see it.

Xander never got one I think? It's figured he was born in 81, but other than that while some early birthday's are mentioned, there was no date given to them. Probably in the spring though? He strikes me as being a Taurus.

And Kate again never been giving a canon birthday, or even anything exact on her age. Figured 17-18ish for her. And in another game I had her birthday as being Dec 9th, and since that would place her as a Sag. (archer of course).

I picked a birthday for Brenda on Nation a while back. She's born on April 27th, a Taurus (http://www.psychicguild.com/horoscopes_zodiac.php?sign=Taurus), which is frankly overly appropriate.

Rose and McNinja don't have canon birthdays that I'm aware of soooo, I'm going to make some up right now!

Rose is henceforth November 10th, smack in the middle of Scorpio (http://www.psychicguild.com/horoscopes_zodiac.php?sign=Scorpio).

McNinja is August 23rd, a Virgo (http://www.psychicguild.com/horoscopes_zodiac.php?sign=Virgo), but right on the cusp of Leo (http://www.psychicguild.com/horoscopes_zodiac.php?sign=Leo).

July 8, 1965. Just another boring canon birthday!

Yeah... that's pretty much it.

13 July, 2305. Which would make Picard a Cancer. The simplified pros of being a Cancer are

Emotional and loving
Intuitive and imaginative
Shrewd and cautious
Protective and sympathetic

Which generally describe Picard. Of course, like any human being, Picard is more than just a few words. He has a full emotional range that's difficult to pin down or exactly correlate to astrology.
