...I think it must be an enhanced communication function of the suit. When morphed, sometimes I don't entirely have control of my body. That's how I fought as a Ranger before receiving martial arts training---the Power manipulated my limbs into fighting at a professional level. I had some conscious control over which direction to take and what type of strategy to use, but the mechanics were controlled by an outside force.

I'm in full control now that I've learned enough about combat, but I'm still compelled to make the gestures.
