Well, it's just... [Surprise, Kaylee! He leans in to kiss her. Properly, mind you, none of the cheek kisses this time. Impulses are a wonderful thing, sometimes.]

[He was trying to keep it to a fairly brief brush of his lips against hers, but the fact that she returns the kiss throws him for a loop - and he lets it linger longer than he intended before pulling back. He's at a bit of a loss for words for a moment, then comes up with possibly the lamest post-kiss sentence ever.]

It's not so bad, the kissing. It's the waiting that gets to ye after a bit.

But, aye. I'd not be surprised either. I think sometimes I've been through stranger things here then when I traveled with the Doctor, and that's saying something.

It's definitely stranger than anythin' I experienced travelin' around on Serenity. Still, I'd take GLaDoS over Reavers any day.

At the mention of Reavers, though, he looks up again, and his voice is soft when he replies - like it gets occasionally when he's feeling something rather intently.]
