Alessa had no real anchor TO life: it began as abruptly as it ended in her opinion, and anyone who thought differently was a fool. That said, when Renne piqued her interest many years ago, Alessa had took to learning more about the interesting creature, and when marriage was proposed, Alessa could think of no reason to say no. Renne was tolerant of her nature, and in turn Alessa was actually protective of Renne when anyone dared try to injure Renne.
