HEADS UP - HEAD CANON MEME!

I did this once and I'll do it again!

Anywho, this meme's easy to do! We all know our guys have awesome canon, but what about stuff that only you have come up with and helps you make sense with other stuff? This is that what this is for! Just write down what interesting stuff that you've come up with for your character - doesn't matter how mundane or boring! Write it down here!

If it makes it more exciting? Just post your characters and ask questions!

He lives on an island, so: Hiccup vs. water. How well does this work out/not work out?

Most Volstagg has ever eaten in one sitting?

[identity profile] i-saw-myself.livejournal.com 2010-10-15 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
Right now? He'd sink like a stone.

But I figure he does know how to swim. They're sailors, they're around boats, there's also ponds and lakes. I figured there's got to be some time during the summer (even if it's only a day or two, lol) that it's warm enough to swim in Berk.

So he does know how to swim (albeit, not very well), but he'd sink because of the automail.

Now, does he LIKE swimming? That'd be a no. Anders and I have this little headcanon incident where Snotlout shoved Hiccup off a foot bridge into a stream or river or something once. (Although, he made an exception for the hot springs on he and Astrid's date, for obvious reasons).

Dick's current thoughts on ship security?

Vega will be interested to know Duo's thoughts on giant t-rex mecha, once he gets wind of him being another pilot. What are those thoughts likely to be? :P

"THIS. IS. AWESOME."

"But not as cool as 'scythe."

Re: Duo Maxwell | Gundam Wing

Vega thinks Gundams are awesome. He's sort of in denial about the fact that a Gundam could probably beat the crap out of his Zoid, though. The Berserk Fury is a powerhouse by Zoid standards but it's still not quite in that tier. In his opinion, however, the Berserk Fury is the best ever and he will fanboy defend it as such for long as he's able. :P

For its part, the Berserk Fury's answer will always and forever be "bring it on" until something finally manages to kill it. (It's not a very happy robot.)

Re: Duo Maxwell | Gundam Wing

[identity profile] hellraiser02.livejournal.com 2010-10-15 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
HAHA, Duo totally wouldn't think about that since they're all supposed to be allies here (and he's not really the type to be all /AGGRESSIVE LET'S FIGHT like that unlike some people *cough* Wufei) but yeah, it's prolly true =u=a

Aw, suicidal robots make Duo sadface ;;

'Most'? There is no set point when mighty Volstagg ceases to eat! There are only points where the food runs out?

That said, he has gone out fishing for humpback whales at some point in canon, apparently with the sole purpose of cooking one over a fire and sharing with the rest of the Warriors Three.

Headcanon says that it was after a successful 'fishing' trip, when he was younger and did not spend every waking moment with his buddies, Volstagg ate an entire whale once. By himself. Just to prove that he could.

He'd been massively drunk at the time, too.

They had to send Thor, Balder, Hogun, and Fandral to bring him back to his worried wife.

Vega's really competitive and used to thinking in terms of everyone ever being a potential rival. Giant robot fightan gaemz are the favored spectator sport of his planet and he's a prodigy, so it's second nature.

I have probably as much if not more headcanon for the Fury than I do for Vega. :P It's unusual for a Zoid in that it's reasonably intelligent/fully sentient/capable of learning. It also shows very marked aggression and competitiveness. It's prone to getting so overcome with rage that it is uncontrollable and just rampages regardless of what it's being told to do. That's all canon there, but it gives no real reason for why that is. The Berserk Fury's ancient, having been discovered in a dig site, so my theory is that it lost its pilot long ago and has basically been driven mad by its grief. All it really has left is the ability to FIGHT AND DESTROY THINGS, so it clings to that with all it has and only accepts very gifted pilots (in this case, Vega) so that it can fight at its fullest potential.
I think that the Fury is, on some level, just looking for a way to die/be put out of its misery. The thing is, it has yet to find anything that can successfully do the job (though the Ohm came close) and it will not give an inch in a fight. (In the case of the Ohm, Stacy had to call the Fury off herself after part of its armor was melted off and Vega was knocked out.)

[identity profile] hellraiser02.livejournal.com 2010-10-15 07:30 am (UTC)(link)
fffff whereas Duo rather wishes they didn't exist as much as he loves 'scythe, and that everyone could just love peacefully.. orz Series theme dissonance.

D: YYyyyyeah the whole 'lol sentient robits' thing is kinda only BARELY brushed against in Wing, with ZERO System and also a vague insinuation of Sandrock having an AI... but more or less they're treated as brainless machines whose pilots just have emotional attachment to like Duo referring the Deathscythe as if it were alive, though I have my own theories on that one.)

Security would be so much easier if the rest of the crew weren't a bunch of asshats. But, then again, Gotham was a great place to live...except for the whackos.

Mostly, he figures security does the best it can, but it's kind of hard with so much area to cover and a relatively small number of officers.

He was never really raised with it, since his bio-dad was a cynic on a good day, and his adoptive dad was raised by hippies. No, really.

He's pretty accepting, though not personally believing in one particular religion or god. He is drawn to promises of forgiveness and second chances, though a bit repelled by some of the absolutes of good and evil at times. Overall, he doesn't have much of a problem with it. Except that he doesn't understand some of the strict traditions and rituals, especially when it comes to food and why some kids can't eat bacon.

Have you thought up any additional Fiduspawn in case the occasion arises for the headcanon to be useful?

[identity profile] alterniantaurus.livejournal.com 2010-10-15 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't, actually. :o Tavros didn't get to bring any oogonibombs or host plush with him, but he has his cards, so I should probably go do that. XD

Thanks for that; I didn't even consider that since I was handwaving his game with Alex.
