So cruel

Well, based on the manga until then, Vita still had a pretty rival-ish attitude towards Nanoha, and at that point, this pretty much changed entirely.

For one, Vita knew that she (and, of course, the other Wolkenritter) were pretty much what caused this: Nanoha had overworked herself in the first incident, the second incident with the Wolkenritter had put even more strain on her due to the (for Mid-Childan mages) unreliable cardridge technology. She also knew that Nanoha was, technically, the reason that enabled Hayate to survive in the end.

All that was, most likely, going through her head as she looked down at the fallen, bloodied Nanoha. She was blaming herself twice, for what happened during the Wolkenritter incident, and for not watching Nanoha enough during this mission. Oh, and there was a third thought: A medic better get here fast or else!

And all that was caused by... a mere gadget drone. Oh my.
