Give thanks, people!

♠ ♠ ♠ GRATITUDE MEME!♠ ♠ ♠

To the players and characters in or from the United States, happy Thanksgiving! To everyone else, that'll be why many of us are unusually quiet tomorrow. But before we go off to be harassed by relatives, let us participate in an exercise in the power of positive thinking! Before you run, though, it's not as scary as it sounds.

1) Hey characters, you're thankful for something, right?
2) No, don't give me that crap about how everything's horrible and you want everyone to screw themselves. Come on. There's SOMETHING, even if it's as simple as 'I'm thankful that that jerk over there is more miserable than me' or 'I'm thankful that torture exists'. Post!
3) Write your thanks in that post. Even if you don't want to admit that some of these people are sometimes tolerable, you're damn well going to. It's standard meme ~magic~.
4) Respond to others' lists and be merry, thankful, and giving! Or...maybe you could just be slightly less cruel than usual. That works too.
5) Mind the turkey, it was prepared in the back room. It might not be so innocent!

-I am thankful that Stacy provides us with such delightful nourishment! The texture is perfect and the taste is comforting.
-I am thankful that Beast Boy is present, and that the other Titans are somewhere safe.
-I am thankful for new friends. I will not forget Sasami's hospitality, Zetta's wisdom, or Katara's strength.
-Most of all, I am thankful that we still live. We may yet 'make the difference'.

Uh, wow, so... we get poultry and then, act grateful, right?

I'm thankful for, um... the friends I have, and, uh, the sensoriums, for all the fun you can have in there, and also, having a blockmate who's nice, to play games and stuff with.

...Who's this other Zetta?! I'll kick his ass for stealing my name!

I'm thankful I'm still the most badass freakin' Overlord in the cosmos.

Having an apprentice and a student is pretty cool, too.

What am I thankful for? I'll have to untangle this.

Thankful to be alive has always topped my list, I suppose, and I am. As long as I live, I'll continue to fight.

I'm also thankful for the people I know and have known: my friends and family of the present, the people from my home in the past, and the opportunity to forge more friendships in the future. Specifically, I'm thankful to Renne and Katara for giving me a family to hold to, Kaylee for keeping the smiles on our faces and encouraging us, Jamie for being my more focused companion when I tend to lose sight of the goal, and all of our engineers for sticking with us through the rough patches.

I have to also extend gratitude to the Power Rangers: Dustin for providing all the help with our mission and fighting beside us, Tenaya for assisting us and giving needed perspective, Jamie for leading the team even more capably than I'd hoped, Lash for giving us excitement and advanced weaponry, Ron for giving us wit and motivation, Andy for working so diligently on the battlefield, and Kate for connecting us. You're all worthy of carrying my friends' mantles---I knew you would be, but I see it clearly now.

And this wouldn't be complete without saying that I'm thankful to have known B5 and Cassie, and their deaths were tremendous losses.

...this is getting far too long, isn't it? I'll conclude by saying that I'm thankful to have known ~~all~~ the vast majority of you, and that I'm thankful that we're together.

-I'm thankful 'scythe made it here with me, even if none of my human buddies did...
-I'm thankful I've made new buddies here! Even if most of them are a bunch of no-fun grumps. You and me are the lone non-grumpy warriors, Kira!
-I'm thankful I at least got to see the establishment of a new, hopefully long-lasting era of peace in my world. 'fore it blew up, anyway.
-I'm thankful I have something to eat here, even if it doesn't taste good. At least it's good for us, right?
-I'm thankful to have a ...roof? of sorts over my head.
-I'm thankful to have clothes on my back.
-And I'm thankful for those who got me here. (Well.. not HERE here, but here as in alive, here.)

Um.

It's never something anyone's called me before.

Pretty much get the opposite, actually.

There was once a time when there seemed nothing but the dark.

I know differently now, and I owe this to a few things.

Stephen: I thank thee for even the briefest time and the few words of wisdom shared between us.

Tavros: I thank thee for the curiosity sparked upon our first meeting. Curiosity is a thing that keeps me asking questions, keeps me in wondering awe of the Multiverse.

Jamie: You kept something of me safe. I shall forever thank thee for this and the mercy you have shown me.

Dude-Boy (Beastboy): You have much laughter and that is a valued asset considering the situation we are in. I thank thee for this.

Katara: New BondSister. You surprised me, seeing me at my weakest times. Yet you did not flee, you did not show fear of me. I am still in awe of this strength and I thank thee always. Always and ever, that you are here, that you have necome one of my Anchors.

Rangers under Bee: I am thankful thee now exist. It is something that reminds Bee of what he has, something that reminds him that all is not lost. I am most thankful for this, and thankful for the sacred Name you carry, knowing for certain that it will not fade away.

Bee: My BondBrother. Saviour. Thee did what I did not believe possible in Humans. To thee and Katara, I owe my Existence and much more. I am beyond thankful that thee still takes Breath and that thee find it within the Self, that I am worth being around.

Sword-On: It is from You, that I believe Bee and I crossed paths. You, who created such powerful things of good. There is a reason why You are worshipped as You are. And I am most thankful for it. Perhaps one day, I shall find a proper method to give back to You and my Bondeds. For if not for Your influence and finding my Bondeds, I do not believe I would be here.
I thank Thee with all I have.

To reach your status took skill, did it not?

You are knowledgeable in the ways of survival, and I thank you for sharing some of that.

I'm thankful for getting a chance to actually help save lives. And for getting a second chance with Nate. And for, well, everything I guess.

I'm glad they finally killed that snake.

I'm thankful to have a family again that cares about me--even if they are a little crazy.

I'm thankful for my friends, and Hikari.

I'm also thankful to know what really happened to my dad, so I know there's a chance he can change.

I suppose I can give this a go...

I'm thankful for all my friends, but especially Katara for putting up with my teasing, Kaylee for helping to make things brighter and Billy for having so much trust in me. Oh! And Renne, thank ye for all that cooking.

I'm thankful for the other Rangers, even if I don't know most of ye well yet. I think we'll learn to work well together, aye?

And...I'm thankful the Doctor was awake for a little while. I'd not be here now if it weren't for him, and I'm glad I got to see him again.

There's a lot to be thankful of, but I'll try to condense it as best as I can.

-I'm glad for the time I had with Sokka, Mai and Zuko. Even though it wasn't as long as I liked, they still mean a lot to me, and even though they're repodded right now, I know I'll see them again.

-All the friends I've had here that helped me when my brother disappeared, and even before that. There are a lot of people there, so many that I know I won't be able to get them all, but believe me, you were all helpful.

But to specify:

-Billy and Renne- My Bonded. You guys have been here for me and mean a lot to me. You give me your strength in your own special ways, and have helped me in a lot of ways to grow on this ship. I'm forever grateful.

-Nura- I'm sorry we haven't been able o hang out, and I'm even more sorry that I didn't get to help you when you were in the bay. I hope you recover soon. Get well soon sister.

-To all of the Outsiders (Starfire/Beastboy/Alex/Tavros/Laura/Vita/- I'm going to do my best to learn from and help all of you guys. I know we haven't gotten to do as much as we would have liked, but I hope we can get down to business soon.

-I'm thankful for all of the training I've been given, from my waterbending to my Bene Gesserit beginner training to my sword training. All of my teachers did their best, and I'm grateful they took the time out for me.

-I'm thankful for all of you on the ship, for making things bearable.

...and Matt, for being himself.

I'm thankful for Cargn-sensei for allowing me to learn from him. And to Nanoha-chan for being a true friend and a very pleasant person to work under (even if you should be taking care of yourself). I'm thankful for the people on this ship that can stand up and do the things I'm not able to.

Also I'm thankful for Steve. Not for the usual reasons, just that I'm happy to have found someone that doesn't mind finding the little pockets of normalcy with me.
