Okay, rocks fell, everyone died. Too bad, valiant meatshippers! But the good news is that you've all be reincarnated!

...as baseline humans on modern Earth.

Maybe you're waiting at a coffee shop, and you spot someone out of the corner of your eye that looks strangely familiar. Maybe instead of strangers from universes far apart, you and your close CR are now childhood friends who have always been together. Maybe you meet a former enemy as a friend, or a former friend is now a bitter enemy.

Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos

Ronnae was still as timid and shy as ever, but with a much nicer background considering this world was different. She still has bright strawberry red hair that falls to her lower back which she keeps loose or in a long, high ponytail. She's currently in her first year of college and is trying to avoid the crowd in a small cafe around the corner from the dorms.

Her bright teal eyes focused on her laptop, cute red framed glasses adorning her face as she sucks on a cherry lollipop.

She probably didn't see that Asian kid with approximately 100 sheets of drawings in his portfolio until he accidentally bumped her table.

"Oh, uh, sorry." Zouichi pushed his glasses back up his nose, feeling a little self-conscious. "Wasn't watching where I was going, I guess."

[Drama major, with a minor in botany that nobody expected. Bubbly, bright, cheerful, friendly. She likes performance art in her spare time. This includes blowing bubbles and making balloon animals.]

Soren was an employee in the research and development division of a prominent pharmaceutical company, specializing in Alzheimer's research.

He spent his weekends at the local bookstore or library, attending symposiums, catching piano recitals, and so on, but took public transportation everywhere because he refused to drive. He was on a train right now, in fact, reading a copy of The Mismeasure of Man by Stephen Jay Gould.

He was still kind of a snobby jerkwad.

[It's inadvertent, but she announces herself by squeaking. Actually, that's the balloon flower she's made, and offers out to him.]

What're you drawing?

[He's in his early 30's, retired military, and has a degree in Engineering; he's working on a Political Science degree to go with it. He's a history buff, especially warfare and medieval (European, especially); he also teaches Physics at the local high school. His wife is retired military as well, and they have twins, ten years old.

He spends his time at the high school during the day, the college campus for night classes, and goes out sometimes when they can find a babysitter for the kids.]

[She smiles, and leans over.] Can I see it, or is it a secret until you're done with it?

"Uh, sure."

He just hands it to her, with no additional comment; man, is he ever bad at talking to people. He was telling the truth; it's clearly a picture of the stand of trees nearby. But the sketch is more focused on the small city sparrows hopping around through the underbrush.

What'cha doin'? [That question, along with a rill of bubbles, come from the blond's direction. She just smiles, and waves her bubble wand at the other girl.]

[She doesn't say much to begin with, though she does hand the flower over--clearly intending it for him. It's a daisy made of three balloons, one white for the petals, a yellow one for the flower's center, and a green one for the stem. Her smile only broadens at the drawn birds, and their real counterparts on the ground not far away.]

He takes the flower, although he's not quite sure whether he should hold it or try and put it into his bag. No one's given him a balloon thing since he was like... eight or something.

"Kind of. Although I like the spot behind the gymnasium better -- not too many people walk by, and it's near that wooded area, so sometimes you even see like a fox or chipmunks come by. I think there's a family of foxes back there; I saw one or two kits one time. I haven't seen them since, though, so maybe they moved."

Wow, that's the most she's gotten out of him yet. He seems to realize this. "...I'm Zouichi. Um, nice to meet you."
