And once again the day is saved...or is it?

Photobucket

GRATS MEATSHIP!

You saved the day! Yes you! The Worlds have been put back right and all is well with the universe! You're the big damn hero!

...except you're the only one who remembers any of it happening.

Did it really happen? Have you gone insane? Will people believe you?

And after your experiences will they noticed how much you've changed?

More importantly when the world was put back, was it put back correctly?

Step 1: Post with a short description of your characters world now that it's been brought back/reborn/ect as well as your character interacting with it. Maybe they just woke up in their own bed for the first time, maybe they've been back for a couple weeks and are still adjusting? Also how long were you gone from your world? Seconds? Days? Years?

Step B: RANDOMLY, someone from the meatship appears in your world instead of their own. What a crazy freak accident!!! Well they may be stuck there, hope you can help them adjust.

Step C3 : Maybe things aren't exactly how you remember? Maybe things just seem a little...unsettling AHHH you're in the matrix!!! Maybe the OHM come back, Or maybe it's all inside the snowglobe of an autistic child  Insert Tommy Westphall reference here?I dunno if you enjoy this idea make some drama for yourself my amount of investment in this silly meme is already running out.

Step ?: ???

Step$: Cake

Note: Back in step B the "Someone" can also be more then a couple someone's if you're that organized.

Azula / Special holding facility Fire Nation

[identity profile] burnedbrighter.livejournal.com 2011-07-07 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"And now Azula...tell me more about the Ahm?"

"Ohm."

Here she was once again, locked away in her tiny little cell. Shackled and bound so she wouldn't be able to fire bend. The constant drip drip drip warning her that should she misbehave ocean water would be pumped in and dumped upon her.

God she hated that water. The stench of it permeated her cell.

A man stood behind the bars, safe in the hall away from Azula. They called him a doctor but Azula knew better. He was a sadist who simply came to get pleasure at seeing a princess on her knees.

"Ah yes, the Ohm. I'm sorry, how exactly did you save the world from them?"

Azula remained silent. Her role in returning this world to life had been forgotten, now all that remained was her brothers orders and the fickle loyalty of her people.

"You're not making alot of progress these last few weeks Azula. I think the time may come for some more drastic therapy methods.

Azula felt her muscles tighten at the words. She knew what he meant. Medical procedures, highly experimental ones. The kind that would leave her a highly manageable vegetable.

"I wish to speak to my Brother."

The doctor chuckled and shook his head packing up his things and leaving, "Now now princess, you know he has alot to do running the nation, rebuilding it from the damage your father did. I'm sure he'll have time to see you later."

Azula felt like screaming but denied herself. Her energy was best spent trying to figure out an escape plan.

Because if she ever wanted to see the world she had saved, she had to get out of this cell.

Sandy Marko / New York City, New York Not so distant future

[identity profile] justoutrunyou.livejournal.com 2011-07-08 12:00 am (UTC)(link)

"Shit Shit shit shit!!!"

Sandy could practically feel the creatures hot breath on the back of her neck as she raced through the rain soaked streets.

"COME ON!" She screamed at the heavens which offered her no apology for her misfortune. The moment she had woken up was just a few minutes before the last one she had remembered back home.

Being forced to relive a moment she felt deeply ashamed of was not high on her list of "Things I want to do after we save the universe"

So now she was trying and failing to outrun a hideous monster. The same one that had almost killed her before...well whatever had happened with the Ohm.

Black as ink with sharp white eyes, rows and rows of razor sharp teeth and a massive tongue the Beast was as tall as a bus with massive muscles capable of shattering pavement with each thunderous step.

The lanky girl was weaving through alleys and desperately seeking out some form of cover somewhere...anywhere!

The place she had run to before, the church, was full of children. Once upon a time she'd gladly have sacrificed them to save herself.

But she wasn't that girl anymore.

Ruffnut Thorston / The isle of Berk

[identity profile] ruffntumblenut.livejournal.com 2011-07-08 12:10 am (UTC)(link)

Ruffnut sighed with annoyance at the sheep spread out in the field below her.

Concerned, one of the two heads of her two headed dragon gave her a nudge with her nose and hissed out some sparks because that always seemed to make Ruffnut perk up. This however did not help.

Everything was as it should be. Berk was restored, her family, her friends, her dragon...

But no one remembered a thing. Not even Astrid when Ruff had confronted her, or Hiccup who had been wearing his older peg leg from before and no longer had the super cool metal one with toes.

"Maybe I really am crazy?" Ruff thought out loud and the two heads of her and her brother's dragon looked at one another as if considering this. They didn't seem to have any objections.

The worst part about it? She had felt justifiably important! She wasn't just one half of "The Terrible twins" or one of Hiccup's friends who had helped end the feud between Vikings and Dragons.

She had been a big damn hero! Nearly an Overlord!

Ruffnut the Overlord...now Ruffnut the Shepherd.

Zouichi stared out at the alien landscape.

This is what had replaced Earth. The germinated Recreator. 4.8 billion kilometers long, approximately 1,000 kilometers in diameter. This is what he'd been fighting to defend? Were there even any humans left here?

There was a thin atmosphere, breathable enough, but... had the others survived? How much time had passed since he'd been returned here? He tried to call out on the comm, but if Nishu or Kozlov were here, they were out of range.

He eased the bike forward, taking in the vast white expanse of organic material that made up the Recreator's surface.

"Father, I must admit, it sounds like your memories of the Saernai ship and the sudden influx of bizarre Earth culture gave you strange dreams. But if you are certain it happened, of course I believe you. Is there anything to be done about it?"

"I...suppose not. We do have a war to fight, after all. Let us get back to the Emperor."

PARTY AT THE NETHERWORLD.

Sure, nobody had believed him when they'd wished the Netherworld, and all its denizens, back into existence. Then Zetta had vowed to kick everybody's ass the the same time, literally. So then they believed him.

It was good to be the Overlord.

Laughing, he set the Netherworld on a route through the cosmos and the spaces between worlds. He had people to find!

A massive burst of purple flame erupted in the middle of the field. Take THAT, sheep.

"What the hell are you doing just sitting around, Ruffnut?!" the Overlord demanded, a smug grin on his face. "I taught you better than that. You should have taken over the place by now!"

[identity profile] hit-girl-mindy.livejournal.com 2011-07-08 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
Mindy walked right alongside him, looking amused. "I dunno, Overlord Zetta. I think Ruffnut could do better than taking over a dung heap like this. She IS an aspiring Overlord."

She walked over to Ruffnut, grinning. "You didn't think we forgot about you, did you?"

And she waited. She was good at that: hiding in the shadows hadn't been her strong point before, but now she knew enough to blend in. And what she saw had been distressing.

No one had remembered anything. Worst still had been her investigating and seeing what happened to her old enemy, the one who had played a part on defeating the Ohm. Azula was here, somehow more trapped than usual, a fate she dared not believe until she started to sneak into this place. The more she saw, the more bothered she became. The latest interaction had been the last straw: there was NO way she would let Azula be destroyed, not after all they had been through.

So when he finally left, the water above Azula started to trickle down, but at a faster pace, and to the girl's astonishment, gathered along her chains and shackles. The water now seemed to twine itself around the metal, hardening into ice, seeming to bind to it.

Kaya descended then, lifting her arms and legs in a wide arc, then down at the chains. The ice broke, and with it, the binding around Azula.

She stared the firebender eye to eye, but there was no denying the understanding in her eyes.

"I remember."

[identity profile] 8wings.livejournal.com 2011-07-08 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
The war was over. The Ohm were sealed away, and all the worlds restored. Anwei was back with the Vizsnunishne fleet. Back with Horanckk. Back with her AI, with her friends, with her work and her plans, a thousand warships between her any anyone that might wish her harm. Everything was back to the way it should be.

She didn't believe it. She talked to Horanckk and wondered: who was manipulating who. Was it he who had freed her from Fle, or her that had broken his programming chains and let him escape?

She laughed with her friends and thought: would they really be her friends, if she was not the famous Abomination now calmed and tamed? Could she make friends by herself, without her AI's help?

She hovered, weightless, in the white-enameled cubicle she called home, watching with too-intense interest a wall-sized screen covered with dancing formulas and liquid flowing graphs. Prices, population flows, legal changes, rebellions, campaigns, rumors: everything weighed and counted and averaged, and when the graphs hit the right spot, she would execute her plans. Pay at last for the lives she'd taken, by doing her damnedest to take down the Ninth Empire.

But - was that what she had decided? Or had someone or someones else made the choice, biased her numbers, and pushed her out front to be a target, again? Just like someone had pulled her from the roiling energies of a collapsing dimension, made her fight and kill for their unknown reasons, then vanished away again?

In another part of New York City

Marcus was waiting for her. It was time to pack up what was left in the old apartment, as she was moving in with him and his wife soon, so goodbye to this old life as Hit Girl. It was a cute dream too: it's not like she hadn't been saving the universe, risking life an limb to return this world to its rightful place. To him, it was just another day, and he was itching to give her a slate to wipe clean. To her? It was playing the most brilliant poker face ever, being happy to abandon the dangerous life she had. He probably thought he was doing her a favor.

But she had an itch now, to be that girl that became an Overlord, to do more than be a student at some school, able to destroy any asshole dumb enough to so much as breathe the same air as her the wrong way. She wasn't crazy: she remembered all that had happened. But she would wait: the Overlord, or Ruff, would come, and she'd leave Marcus guilt free: who needed another mouth to feed?

For now, she was gazing at all the weapons dad had left behind: she would keep a few, maybe make some of her own eventually. Marcus would have the rest confiscated, he was clean like that.

Grand Central Station

[personal profile] on_errantry 2011-07-08 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
A train howled in fierce joy, streaking past the platform where she stood, unsteady on her feet, blinking at the teeming mess of ehhif around her.

Instinct kicked in as a knot of teenagers converged on her position, gabbling on their cell phones and not paying attention to their feet, and she stepped sideways abruptly, becoming invisible before she streaked across a gap in the crowd to the stairs.

What had happened? The last thing she remembered, they were about to-

Rhiow looked around herself slowly. Manhattan. Grand Central. Her chest squeezed, and she streaked to the Gate, the oldest one, the one they used to go Downside. She couldn't be here right now.

A twist of her claws, and the blank locus of the gate distended into a kind of opaque sphere before it snapped flat, and Rhiow could see the rippling grass and the Mountain with the Tree through it. She jumped, her form expanding to ten times its size as she passed through before landing heavily on the other side, sleek and black and definitely not a housecat.

Only then did she fall heavily onto her belly, laying her head down in the grass. They had saved the worlds. They had done it. And now she would never see them again.

"YEEE-Haaa!" Peter had tinkered with the improved Spider-Mobile over the years, to the point where it was DEFINITELY faster than anything on wheels. He launched it over the group of Billies, hitting the ground in front of them, and fired a net of webbing out the back, completely blocking any traffic behind him. The arachnid-themed vehicle skidded to a halt scant inches from Beast Boy's body.

"Gar, you can quit whimpering now."

They'd won. And just like that, she was back at home.

Truthfully, Lash really didn't want to call it a home anymore. Black Hole was still gone and he was still gone as well. And the people she lost on the ship...the people that she...

Dammit! Why hadn't she been allowed to say goodbye? It was so unfair! She bit her lip in frustration, watching the trees sway against the cold, bitter wind.

Oh right. She'd been walking away from the latest Orange Star party, unsure what they'd be doing with her after this. She looked down on her hands, and the morpher was gone. Of course. Her only real proof, gone. No one would ever believe what had just happened would they? Hrrgh. The only thing that made her not question her own sanity was the fact she still had all her memories. Memories of ships, worlds, people, magic that was unseen and unused here. Memories of having a really good time with friends and...

That's when she realized...she still could do some damage. Right! No sense running away now. She hadn't run away from the battles on the ship, this was easy compared to that! Her mind was a precious commodity before, but now it offered possibilities unimagined in this world.

The first day in the rest of her life.

The Wunderkind walked back to the party a tiny grin upon her lips. Zetta would probably have appreciated what would come next.

Wall of text

[personal profile] thewunderkind 2011-07-08 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
A few months later when a menace called Red Meteor struck against the collective of Wars World on the Arms Continent, they found themselves facing against an army of creatures and robots born on the ship and remade into life by the (now) Orange Star Commanding Officer Wunderkind. In fact, Lash was now more than happy to be one of the leading COs on the front-line to see how much damage they would do firsthand. COs were now much more present in the field thanks to her and the new combat strategies she'd planned up, such as the Triple Strikes.

"So I'm guessing it was some sort wild adventure huh," the retired orange star veteran told her as he stepped next to her. They'd gotten Hachi to be her official guardian this day, which was fancy war talk for the fact she'd always be watched day and night by someone to make sure she suddenly didn't turn against them. After all, no one had really believed her of course. Adventures in space? Their world gone? Why would her of all people be picked to save the universe? After the initial frustration, she hadn't bothered to talk much about it. This was why the man's sudden remark got her to cough in surprise before she spoke again.

"Wait, so you believe me?"

"Naaah," Hachi replied, stroking his chin. "But call it an old man's hunch. Ever since that victory celebration you haven't been the same. I don't think the others noticed you look a little wiser than before. Oh sure, they'll tell you you're brilliant for making those giant walking robots and perfecting the soldier shooting canon, but intelligence and wisdom are two different things, Lash." He looked back at the advancing fields of Red Meteor soldiers. They'd manage to steal some of Lash's plans too, and a few soldier cannons were fired in their direction. "But it's your eyes. They look different. Like you've seen something we haven't." She stared at him for a few intense seconds before bursting into laughter.

"Tee hee hee! Figures only the old man would get it!" Lash shrugged, moving the collar of her new coat. "Whatever. It's not like Max and Andy are examples of good thinking. More like small dumb monkey and big stupid ape!"

"They are your teammates Lash."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." she dismissed him with a simple hand-wave. "Doesn't mean I can't call them dumb and stupid." One of the windows on her pad clicked and she opened the channel up.

"Hey Lash!" It was Sonja. After Lash's return, they'd become a surprisingly powerful team together. Currently their plan was to flank the army on both sides. They definitely weren't going to be expecting Yellow Comet. "I need to talk to you about something." Her fellow CO looked disturbed by something she was holding, a robot of some sort. "What are these?" The Wunderkind grinned at the poor confused princess.

"What, you don't like the cute little bombs I made for you? Of all the people here, I thought you'd like them the most, Sonja!"

"Lash, why do they look like large penguins with tiny batwings? And peglegs! Wouldn't it better to give them something like real penguin legs at least? And backpacks?! Empty backpacks? It's a waste of material! You've created some really great things during the last few months. Giant robots that can combine together, those bazooka launchers, the spy satellites...you know what, I'll stop before I increase your enlarged ego some more, but why make this one cost infective and aesthetically pleasing for no reason--"

"Dood I like being aesthetically pleasing, dood!"

"--and they talk too! They're just bombs!" A man behind her peeked in.

"Sonja! Did you ask Commander Lash about the devil penguins yet?" Kanbei's voice shook, as a few of them hung on his arms. "And could she program one of them to find my socks?"

Lash spied Hachi trying to hold in his laughter and she snickered at the other girl as Sonja got into a small verbal fight with her father before returning to her.

"Trust me Sonja. You wouldn't believe it if I told you why."

The Gargoyles of course, had bought his story, after a while. Weirder things had happened, and there was no reason to think Peter was crazy.

Everyone else, however, was more difficult. He hadn't told them, although they could tell something was different. Gwne had eventually managed to dump Harry without a massive fallout, but after everything Peter didn't have the feelings he had before he'd been taken to Stacy. She hadn't understood at first, and tried to get Peter to tell her what was wrong, but eventually laid off.

He still fought crime, and he still quipped. Better than before actually, the war having improved his skills. But it was almost half-hearted. He missed everyone on Stacy. Missed the Spider-Mobile, missed his older self, Missed hanging out with Beats boy, and he definitely missed Starfire.

[identity profile] alastirra.livejournal.com 2011-07-08 12:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"So is this what you were talking about?" If so, Alastirra could somewhat understand just why Zouichi hadn't wanted her to come back with him.

Then again, apparently it hadn't been up to either of them. Or Stacy had a sense of humor. A bad one.

"And no, my being here was not my idea." Truth be told she'd have wished it to be the other way around, regardless of the odd looks Zouichi might have gotten on Azeroth.

Ruffnut's eyes lit up in disbelief, the world seemed to be out of sync as she sprang to her feet and dashed down at them to make sure it was really them.

"You...you..."

Once she reached Mindy however she dealt her a sharp knuckle to the gut.

"BASTARDS!"

She immediately scooped up the girl spinning around laughing and crying as she stumbled crashing into Zetta on the way. "You assholes! You stupid..." She couldn't even finish she was so overwhelmed. She had thought it was all over but here they were real as the bruises she was putting on them both.

Meanwhile out in the street trouble was starting.

Ruffnut had arrived, baffled and confused in the middle of the street and had only just come about an inch away from getting run over. The driver had gotten out and was screaming at her now about spilling his coffee.

Ruff was already amped up from the near death experience, and confused from not arriving home so this little man was doing nothing for her short temper.

"OH SHUT UP!" She finally roared and decked him right in the face stumbling back.

"You're gonna regret that you bitch!" he snarled spitting out a tooth as the back doors of his car opened up and his large friends joined him in the middle of the street.

The good people of New York knew better then to get in the middle of this...though a few took pictures.

"Hey check out that chick's crazy outfit. You think she's with Kick-ass?"

"Nah that one had purple hair. I bet she's with the Red Mist!"

Meanwhile Ruffnut faced her now four enemies without a trace of fear. One had a knife, one some shiny metal on his fist.

"You're coming with us!" The one she'd punched threw himself at her and earned another couple shots to the face before the other three piled in.

Azula's eyes were glassy again. The same beaten far away look she often had gotten back on Stacy when she was slipping into one of her "episodes".

"Of coarse it would be you wouldn't it?" She sighed and closed those eyes clenching and unclenching her fists. "My first vision of someone I only knew on that godforsaken ship and it would be you." Apparently this stroke of luck was too much for her to believe till she brought her now freed hand up to rub her forehead in frustration. Once she felt that she actually could move it she opened her eyes again suspiciously. Not buying it just yet.

"I hope you have a plan for getting past all the security my dear brother set up for me?"

"Don't be grateful or anything!" Kaya said, rolling her eyes. Some days she really cursed her whole outlook of looking after people even when they acted like they didn't deserve it. In this case though, she knew that Azula very much did deserve it, even if she was unappreciative.

"Please," she said, showing her back a second, which was strapped with a sword, and on her belt were several smoke bombs. "I've been planning this for a little while. Jumping into this would be a little below me at this point."

No, she ha definitely cased this place before she decided to take on this place. She even had a submarine ready. Everything had been thought of ahead of time. She had even taken some pains to make sure that they weren't found.

"Can you bend, or are you too weak?"
