Character: Punchy
Canon: Intimates

Interesting things about the character:

-Punchy attends superhero school! He got held back. We all wonder why.

-His powers are that he has a magical handpuppet. Possibly an alien handpuppet. No one knows for sure.

-He's been gradually becoming more and more of a hero, which is an arc I'd like to explore in the game. At first he's just a wannabe. By the end of the series, he's a slightly less twerpy wannabe!

-Punchy's hobby is luring sexual predators in online and turning them over the FBI. He also runs anarchist websites despite not really knowing what they are.

-Punchy has been banned from four different email services for mass mailing.

-Punchy habitually lies about his past, because his past is super boring. His mother teaches piano part-time and his father is a salesman or something. According to him, they're totally cool archaeologists like Indiana Jones.

-Punchy gets four hours of sleep a night and supposedly fasted through the spring semester of Seminary. Also he might be dead. Again, we all wonder why.

Interesting things about the canon/fandom:
-Intimates was a short-lived comic book series under Wildstorm. It utilized scrollbars, comics within comics, and flashback boxes to really push the boundaries of the medium and give each page an 'information overload' effect. As such, reading an issue of Intimates takes about three times as long as reading an issue of anything else. Except Watchmen, maybe.

-Some idiot had the bright idea to make the scrollbar white text on a yellow background. That idiot is probably burning in hell.

-The end of the series was a catastrophic trainwreck involving artists quitting, artists recycling pages from other projects, the editor quitting, and Joe Casey making passive-aggressive rambles in the scrollbar about how much he hated 1) the editors and 2) writing the scrollbar.

Anything else?: In my head, his theme song is "Pretty Fly for a White Guy".
