Alanna was more then happy to drop the formal speak. It had its uses, but she generally preferred to simply be herself. Although still irritated by Rosethorn's attitude, she had a better grip on herself now. "I don't know. I suppose no one given the shape that they're in," she answered stiffly, her eyes drifting back to the plants. While she was saddened to see the plants in such a pitiful state, Alanna was still confused by the older woman's anger. It was a pity certainly that the plants had withered so, but the reaction seemed to be overdone.

She shrugged. "I doubt that anyone would be terribly put off if you wanted to care for them yourself. Some extra work should bring them back I'd think." Not that Alanna knew much of taking care of plants. Neither her training as a knight nor her training in magic had ever required her to learn about caring for plants. Still, if you want something done, then you should do it yourself. If Rosethorn was so disturbed by the plants' condition, it was better that she take action rather then complain about it. Alanna had met too many people who blustered, but did nothing and she had very little patience for it.
