"Really?" Alanna asked, still sounding surprised but also distinctly grateful. "Thank you. Where did you summon them from?" She searched through them and tried on the blue one first, it being the smallest of the lot. Larger in this case was not better because it could leave openings for the cold air to enter, so it was better to go for something as close to her size as possible. It fit quite well, much to Alanna's pleasure. "This one works just fine. Thank you!"

Focusing her mind on the pile, she willed it to burn. It started with a few sparks, but ended with a roaring fire. Settling back with a relief, she motioned to Cedric, inviting him to come sit beside her.
