Ooh, ooh, goody!

What is your name? Anders!
What is your LJ? [livejournal.com profile] andy_longwood
Who do you play? Zuko, Will Vandom, and Allen Gentry.
Name one fun fact about you: I was homeschooled from 6th to 12th grade, and thus spent almost literally six years sitting in front of my PC in my underwear. Fortunately, I have a degree to show for it, or I'd feel a lot worse about my teenage years. XD

What is your Meatship crack pairing? Um, um. I don't really . . . have one yet. Sorry!
Do you seriously ship anyone? Mai/Zuko, obvs.
What is your dream mission? Planet of ice cream.

What/Are you in any fandoms? I'm sort of perpetually on the periphery of the Lord of the Rings fandom, because it is one of my primary literary loves, and slightly more actively on the periphery of the Avatar: the Last Airbender fandom.
What movies/games/whatever are you interested in? My great love is young adult fiction. No, not Twilight. If you've heard of it, it's probably not what I'm referring to. One of my favorite things to do is go to small bookstores and fish through the young adult fiction and fantasy, looking for stories that DON'T center around "It's an adventure!!! Will the two main characters ever kiss while on the uncharted desert island/on a rocketship hurtling through space/while battling ferocious dragons/etc?!?!?!?!"

Basically, if it's fantastical in nature and has an actual plot that isn't just a thinly veiled backdrop for some chaste teenage UST, I probably want to read it. There's nothing wrong with romance, but I like for it to take second stage to the actual story.

Surefire winners for me are usually stories about young girls who, by pluck and grit and determination, save the day, grow as people, and come into their own as confident, compelling young women. Buddy adventures are good, too. It's a plus if unicorns are involved.

Basically, I will read the sparkliest, girliest stuff you can get your hands on . . . . as long as none of those sparkles are produced by vampires.

Also I like Christopher Moore.

Do you draw fanart/write fanfiction/whatever? Oh man, I used to write sooo much LotR fanfiction. Most of it was either involving Gollum, or part of a self-insert Mary-Sue Parody Epic that I was co-writing with Saphie. Nowadays, I have all these ideas for Avatar comics I'd like to write and draw - stuff involving Iroh's backstory, future things in which Mai is torn over wanting to be with Zuko, but not sure if the position of Fire Lady is one she'd be happy taking, Katara has become an admiral in the southern Water Tribe navy and is training a new generation of waterbending girls who get together once a year for a tournament of tournaments with their good buddies the Kyoshi warriors, Aang is all over the world peace-treatying this and that and throwing the best parties any of the nations have ever seen, and Sokka and Suki already have three babies.

These will probably not be done anything with, but that's just because I'm really busy right now writing original stuff, or XP-whoring drabbles for my tabletop circle's Exalted campaign.

Anything else?
