The "Ask Characters Questions" Meme!

Okay guys, this is pretty simple but should be fun, and give us all something to do as we wait for things to happen as plot to progresses.

Post your character, and people can ask them things ICly or OOCly, as themselves or as their characters.

For example, "Hey Chief, what do you think of [x]?" or "Hey Zita, what does Chief think of [x]?"

Characters do not strictly have to answer honestly, but it's more fun (and more funny) if you make them!

Other than that, go nuts and have fun!

About a year before I appeared here, I was an unremarkable student with four close friends. Nothing in my life was particuarly exciting until exploring astronauts on a nearby planet uncovered a dumpster that housed Rita Repulsa, a feared sorceress who had been sealed there for ten thousand years. Once released, she started sending her monsters to our planet.

As that was happening, the sorceror who had sealed her away all those years ago awakened. His name was Zordon, and because Rita had managed to lock him in a timewarp, he was unable to fight her directly. Instead, he ordered his assistant to summon five young people---my friends and I---to take up his power and fight.

Zordon informed us about Rita's attack and told us about the power he was entrusting us with, but we were too stunned---and perhaps suspicious---to act at that moment. Our minds changed when we were attacked outside Zordon's base a short while later, and we've been fighting to protect my planet since then. We had to make three promises: we would never escalate a battle unless it became necessary, we would never use our powers for personal gain, and we would never reveal our identities to outsiders.

I had to break the last rule in order to keep the trust of everyone here. I hope he'll understand.

WOW. That's a lot of information, but thanks. Your worls sounds pretty involved though. I did wonder if you were given the powers rather than just having them at birth.

So what powers does the suit actually have?

They're not powers in the traditional sense of that word when it's applied to heroes---we're not capable of invisibility, shooting lasers from our helmets, growing to ten times our size, or any truly exceptional feats. The Power's main functions are to augment natural human strength and speed, but it also provides a noticeable energy boost. The uniform serves as buffers against physical damage and can shield against some toxic substances.

We also control our own mechanical beasts called Zords. Mine is a blue unicorn-shaped machine capable of manipulating gravity, primarily to throw boulders. I believe Stacy may have it in storage somewhere.

So while the suit is mostly a defensive buffer, you're able to use the offensive in the form of these beasts. That's really cool! You just keep getting more interesting, the more I learn about it!

What's a unicorn?

Right! ---And hey, I'd be interested in learning more about the properties of your world too.

Well...you see, a unicorn is a mythical creature similar to a horse, with a single horn pointing from its forehead. Some depictions of unicorns have wings, and others don't. They're a popular fixture of fairy tales, the fanciful stories parents tell to children.

But if your world doesn't have horses, that description would be meaningless to you, wouldn't it? Here, I'll attempt to draw one.

In my world, others on this ship might call it magic. What happens is, when you're born, you either do or don't show the potential to bend: essentially, using one of the four elements as a weapon or shield. How good you get at that depends on how hard you train: she can be shabbily good or a master, depending on what you put into it and who trains you. You bend by using martial arts, and that usually defines how good you are at your element.

For instance, I'm a waterbender. My movements are quick and dance-like. For, say Aang, an airbender, his movements are slow but deliberate and quick, a defense that can be used an offense by using the opponents weight and balance against them. A Firebender's movement is very offensive, quick and hard and dangerous. Earthbenders are more in a solid stance, stubborn and hardly yielding at times.

That animal...looks strange. I'm sure yours looks fiercer.

I believe she'd enjoy your company. Trini is the sort of person who focuses on the best qualities of anyone she meets, and she brings balance to a group---that's why she was selected to go to the Peace Conference. She spends some of her free time reading books or working with me in the laboratory, but she enjoys more vigorous activity with Zack and Kimberly as well. Of course, to Kimberly, 'vigorous' often means 'carrying twenty heavy shopping bags through the mall'.

Trini would probably love to watch your races---if she had enough fun with you, and I'm almost certain she would, she'd even want to learn how to ride.
