The "Ask Characters Questions" Meme!
Okay guys, this is pretty simple but should be fun, and give us all something to do as we wait for things to happen as plot to progresses.
Post your character, and people can ask them things ICly or OOCly, as themselves or as their characters.
For example, "Hey Chief, what do you think of [x]?" or "Hey Zita, what does Chief think of [x]?"
Characters do not strictly have to answer honestly, but it's more fun (and more funny) if you make them!
Other than that, go nuts and have fun!

.....
Didn't it occur to you that there a ways of saying the same thing without making it seem like you're insulting almost everyone that isn't you?

...out of curiosity, did this topic come up in discussion with Kara?

And...yes, it did.

...and did that cause or contribute to your... 'misunderstanding'?

Now she's rather incensed with me.

...and you did apologise, didn't you?

I made a mistake in interpretation, it blew up in my face, and she's already made her presumptions about my character and decided her feelings. It's happened often enough.
In such situations, it's simply best to move on.

....There's no way I can say this without it seeming insulting. So I think I'll borrow Lightning Lad's wording: Are you an idiot?
Regardless of the likelihood of success, just making the attempt in the first place is often seen as being enough. You're right that it's highly likely that there's little you could say to actually get her to forgive you, but not making the attempt and then ignoring the problem in the hopes it will somehow go away isn't going to work either.
As difficult as it is, I've learned that you often have to be prepared to admit that you're... wrong. And can make mistakes. Especially if you value the opinion of the person in question.
