The "Ask Characters Questions" Meme!

Okay guys, this is pretty simple but should be fun, and give us all something to do as we wait for things to happen as plot to progresses.

Post your character, and people can ask them things ICly or OOCly, as themselves or as their characters.

For example, "Hey Chief, what do you think of [x]?" or "Hey Zita, what does Chief think of [x]?"

Characters do not strictly have to answer honestly, but it's more fun (and more funny) if you make them!

Other than that, go nuts and have fun!

Yes and no.

I didn't exactly want to stop being Robin. I was happy. Then I got shot. Wasn't the first time. Wasn't even the worst. The guy just got me in the shoulder. Sure, six-seven inches down and to the right would have been a different story, but that's a hell of a margin, you know?

Anyway, Bruce...got nervy about it or something. Because he basically threw me out of the partnership. I'd spent nearly half my life being Robin at that point, so I had no idea what to do. So once I was able to be on my feet and moving, I cleared out of the Mansion and headed out. Went to Metropolis for a bit to talk with Superman. He's the one who gave me my new direction as Nightwing.

It's...taken a while to get back to anything resembling normal with Bruce. I just wish he'd stop trying to push everybody away from him.

Y'know, I don't know what exactly goes through the old man's head, but I think he's just trying to protect you guys. He asked me to hang up the cowl during a time when things got really bad, but I didn't, and almost got killed. Even though he never seems to respect me, he does seem to care if I live or die.

I'd say he's pushing all of you away to keep himself from being hurt. (But don't tell him I said that.)

I wish I could tell you. He IS just trying to protect us. It took a while, but I get that. He loves us all, he just has a really awkward way of showing it.

And yeah, maybe. Or keep us from getting hurt. Or both at the same time. It's enough to make you want to hit him for being an idiot. I mean, if he pushes us away, who's there to watch his back?

As someone from your future, I can tell you that he really tears himself up over anything and everything that's ever gone wrong. He's kinda depressing to be around, really.

Hey, if he didn't have have a heart condition - and if I didn't know he could still kick my ass at his age - I probably would have hit him when he tried to get me to stop being Batman. I know he means well, but really, the guy's gotta accept that he can't keep us all safe. That, and the fact that I'm way too stubborn to let him talk me out of doing what I've gotta do.

Yeah, I'm not surprised, somehow. Most of the really bad stuff happened after I left, so I don't always get to see it first hand. But given the fact that I do the same thing? I suppose I had to learn it somewhere.

Huh. I've never heard that he had a heart condition. I wonder if that's another difference between worlds or if he's hiding something. Or if he even knows. And he'll never accept it. He feels too responsible for...oh, everything to ever let that happen.

Eh... my suit was originally made for him, to help him keep being Batman while he kept getting sicker, so... I wouldn't be surprised if he's hiding things from you guys.

But, hey, now I have a pretty advanced suit, so silver lining and all that.

It wouldn't surprise me either, unfortunately. One of these days, you'd think he'd figure out that pushing us away doesn't actually help anything.

True enough. Though I admit I sort of wish it weren't necessary. That Gotham was better in the future than it is now. Suppose some things never change, though.
