Miku coughs up a little saltwater and pushes her hair out of her eyes. "It's okay, it was my fault!" she laughs and bows awkwardly from her sitting position.

And another waves crashes over her, "Blub!" That would be, 'Help!', Impulse, in drowning Japanese girlspeak.

So much for comporting herself in the way as a proper Japanese lady. She coughs up a little more water, and smiles at him in gratitude. "Ah, tha--ahem--thank you." She pushes back her hair from her face and laughs a little bit at herself.

"My name is Hinasaki Miku. It's nice to meet you, Impulse-san." She straightens the strap of her bikini top. "How... how did you move so quickly?"

"Nice to meetyou too, Hinasaki!" For a non speaker, his accent's pretty good. He did get to hear her say it over what felt like hours. Relative speed. It's useful. "I was bornlikethis. T'me it's like all of you are moving slow."

Miku gasps, because this concept is sort of familiar to her. "But that sounds like you would run into problems, if you're moving faster than everyone else."

Impulse, consider your new, wet friend intrigued. "At home, I have a camera that slows things down, but not one that speeds things up," ...because, if you could imagine faster ghosts, Miku would probably drop dead from fright.

Miku laughed a little bit, impressed with his honesty. "Mostly? Well, do your best, Impulse-san." That was all a person could do, really. She smiled a little wider at him, and reached behind her head to fix her hairpin. She was mostly sure it would be okay, but then again it was well over a hundred years old.

She tilted her head to the side to observe him. "...So, just how quickly do you go?"
