The nudity is not what attracts his eye.

. . . okay maybe it's a little the nudity. But really, have you seen what female gargoyles wear? A barely-clad bipedal female is nothing out of the norm - a not-clad one, slightly more unusual, but nothing he hasn't seen before.

Still, it looks like a human, almost, but does not smell quite like a human, so the glance he gives Meluly is less lustful appreciation and more vague curiosity.

And maybe a little bit of appreciation. But just a little bit. His girlfriend is a cop, she knows where he lives.

"You are a Child of Oberon?" he guesses.

"Awha?" Luly props herself up on her elbows, looking over at Goliath. Huh... weird-looking fellow, but he's not panicking at the sight of her, at least.

"I'm Nazzadi," she adds. "What about you?"

"Goliath."

GJ, Luly, now he thinks that's your name. AND that you're a Fair Folk. That explains the lack of freaking out in return!

He lifts his wings, using them as an umbrella against the sun. Who knew it was so hot? Warm, he imagined, but hot - it's a little uncomfortable.

"Is it your magic that has brought us here?"

"Wuh... hey, I'm not magic." She's eying those wings of his. They seem kinda useful. "I just do buckethead work." Not that he's particularly likely to really know what she means.

"A soldier," Luly says, rolling her eyes. She makes a motion as if to knock on an imaginary helmet on her head.

"Then you have been abducted as well."

To . . . party on the beach. Inexplicably, in the sun.

"A-yep." Luly stretches just a little in a way that does marvelous things to her slender-but-athletic frame.

Goliath waits patiently for her to finish, his eyes on some adjacent feature of the beach. Her slender-but-athletic frame may be marvelous, but she's still more human-looking than not, which is a strike against her, and she's not Elisa, which is a fatal blow as to her hawtness.

"And - we have been abducted for the purpose of enjoying a day at the beach."

Just so we're clear on things. Oh, and he hasn't looked back yet.

"That's what it looks like," she says. "Well, right now. You missed the icky parts."

"These are . . .?"

Luly shrugs. "Don't know, I'm just... glad it's all over with."

She keeps sparing little glances to him, trying to wrestle any similarities with other things she's encountered out of her memory.
