One of the littlest ones is also the most curious. It darts around Aang like a curious bird, touching beak-to-hand, beak-to-shoulder, chirping, whistling, somehow a little more aware than the other dolphins of the difference between Aang and themselves - that, or it's just too young to have learned dolphin etiquette. It is very much a baby.

Flipperwaving! This one makes weird currents! The little dolphin darts off to its mother and back and to its mother and back and to its mother and to the seafloor and back with a shell.

It may be too little for rides, but it is not too little for keepaway. Get the shell, Aang! Get it get it get it!

Aang just laughs and takes a deep breath, diving under to scoot after it, waterbending propelling him along.

A human that can chase! And the chase is on, for the little dolphin is very quick and graceful for its age, and the game is too fun for other members of the pod not to join in. The shell passes from one beak to another, amidst the stranger's strange currents, and the excitement - even joy - in the water is practically palpable.

One large female zooms by Aang, and the current produced by her passing is strong enough to send even him spinning. But the same current sends the shell speeding towards him, sunlight flashing off its pearled inner surface as it spins end over end.

Aang snags the shell triumphantly and then swims to the surface to take a breath of air before diving under again, teasing the youngster into giving chase. Now it's his turn to play keepaway!

The little one leaps for his own air and comes back down for the chase. Shell shell shell get the shell!
