THE DATING SIM MEME

Each thread-starter is the protagonist of their thread.
Each responder should supply a list of four options for them to choose from
Two of us will supply an example or something
Alternatively, just post four options and see who responds!
YAAAAAAAAAY

Don't blame me for the picture it just came with the meme, okay?

[Explanation first. Hug later, when he's scientifically sure that there won't be a robo-zombie apocalypse.]

Complicated in what way? I may not have your level of intelligence, but I believe I could try to follow an explanation. Forgive my disbelief.

Well it's to do with pocket dimensions and a little bit of bending the rules of time and space. Suffice to say I only really exist here.

So your time is limited, and your existence is confined to this pocket dimension.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to interact with you, but...doesn't it get lonely?

[He looks rather sad for you.]

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2009-11-18 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Not really. Everyone else is here too and I have plenty of people to talk to. [You get a reassuring smile, Billy!]

I'm glad. Please understand---I wouldn't normally do this, but these circumstances compel me to express gratitude. [He might not have this chance again, so---screw it, B5 is being pulled into a careful hug. Cue surprised noise when he learns that the body is solid.]

[[XD It happens to the best of us <3]]

[The hugging is commonplace enough now to be expected, so there's only the slightest hesitation before it's returned]

It's fine. I understand it must have been very... difficult. Especially for you and my counterpart.

>[Both A and B]

[Relieved that the hug is returned. He'll hold a little longer if you don't mind.]

B5, I...you're right. I believe, however, that the pain your counterpart feels is far more personal than mine. [That sounded bad. Immediately pulling back to apologize, hands on his shoulders.]

I don't intend to imply that I don't care---I do, of course, and I deeply regret that we won't have the opportunity to work together in the future. To have connections beyond the demands of work. If we could have saved you, we would have---[Okay, rambling. Stopping now.]

What I'm trying to say is that we miss you, but your counterpart should probably be the one seeing you right now. The two of you had a unique relationship due to your status.

[Small laugh] I understand what you mean. And I would have liked to get to know more people as well. Have friends rather than people I work with.

[Hesitation and looking away] I'd like to talk with him, but I haven't seen him around. I wonder... Do you think he's avoiding me?

> [Probably. You did kinda die in front of him.]
> [He's probably busy with other things. He wouldn't avoid you on purpose.]

>[He's probably busy with other things. He wouldn't avoid you on purpose.]

[Reaching for his shoulder again] Brainy has repeatedly demonstrated that he cares about you. He'd probably question the logic of the situation at first, but I have no doubt that he would seize the opportunity to spend more time with you. He probably just hasn't had the time to realize that you're here.

In the meantime...I should probably take care of this spill. [He ducks to do just that. So much for stringent safety regulations.]

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 07:32 am (UTC)(link)
You're right. But I just wish I could speak to him. I don't want him or anyone else to blame themselves for what happened.

...here, let me help. It isn't as dangerous to me.

> [Let him take care of it.]
> [Help out and get it done in half the time!]

Don't worry, I'm certain that he'll come find you. Here, there should be enough room to clean this up over there. [Gloves and mask are on. That safety equipment was good for something after all! It's clean soon enough.]

Thank you. For everything. [Smile. He's really glad you're here.]
