The "Ask Characters Questions" Meme 2: The Sequel!

Is this really necessary? You've already done one of these— oh, fine.

Post here, and answer questions that are asked of you. Enjoy yourselves.

Um. Hi guys!

Can you tell me how your magic works?

[identity profile] its-keeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
There's nothing too weird about it. The Heart of Kandrakar is the source of my team's power, and I wield the Heart of Kandrakar. It's the magic, it just works through me.

I can use it to give my four friends the powers of the elements, and I have power over pure energy.

That sounds really interesting! It isn't like any magic I've ever seen, but I guess that's just what happens when we're all from different worlds.

I'd love to see it sometime.

Sure, I could show you. I can't show you as much without my teammates - we all have different powers from the Heart - but I can show you a little of what I can do.

So some of your powers rely on your friends being here?

That's kind of fitting. It must help you work together as a team that much more.

[identity profile] its-keeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
Well . . . when we can agree on what to do.
starlightace: (Le sigh...)

[personal profile] starlightace 2009-11-20 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
...I can understand that. Learning to work as a team instead of working as a bunch of individuals is one of the hardest parts for some people.

Do you argue a lot?

[identity profile] its-keeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
Not too much to get our jobs done, but enough that it's complicated sometimes. We don't always agree on what to do. And since I'm the leader, I'm supposed to make our decisions. And everybody expects me to make them, but still argues with me when they don't think they're good enough.
starlightace: (Hey Fate it's groping time)

[personal profile] starlightace 2009-11-20 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, I know how that goes, too.

Being the one who calls the shots can be a tough job.

Hi Will!

Um...so can you tell me about the team you're on?

[identity profile] its-keeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
Sure! I'd ask you about your team, but I can talk to them myself.

First of all, there's Taranee, who's my best friend. I met her on my first day at my new school after I moved to Heatherfield, and she's pretty smart and really creative. She has power over fire. I can talk to her about anything, and she's really nice.

Irma and Hay Lin are best friends, so they knew each other before Taranee and I met them. Irma has power over water. She likes attention, and she usually gets it. Hay Lin has power over air, and she's a great artist. She writes everything down on her hands so she doesn't forget them, and she's the one who came up with our team name - W.I.T.C.H., for each of our initials. They're both a lot of fun.

Oh, and there's Cornelia . . . she's really sophisticated, more than the rest of us, and sometimes we get into arguments, because she's really stubborn . . . she's strong-willed. Like earth. That's her element.

Sometimes we argue, but when we work together, we're a lot more powerful than we are separate.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
And what about your element?

I mean, how do you think you are in respect to them?

[identity profile] its-keeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
I'm pure energy. So I can zip around really fast, power machines, electrocute things . . .

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
WOW! That's really neat!

Almost like firebending, but not! Aang actually used energy bending to beat the bad guy in our world...

[identity profile] its-keeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks. I think it's pretty neat too. I can talk to machines with it.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
Even neater!

What kind of things do machines talk about?

[identity profile] its-keeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Mostly their jobs. My refrigerator gives good advice.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
That's still cool!

My team has benders of the elements too. Toph is an earthbender. She likes dirt, she's tough and really stubborn like her element. She's blind, but her element comes naturally to her.

Zuko is a firebender, and is quick to anger sometimes, but is almost the more quiet of us. He is probably one if the most loyal people I've met once he actually knows what he wants to do. He sticks to his guns, and he will do whatever he can to help us.

Sokka is my brother. He has no bending ability, but carries a lot of the traditions from our home, the Southern water Tribe. He is a strong warrior and very scientific in the way he figures things out, He also has a good sense of humor!

Mai is new, and was once my enemy. She's very quiet and acts bored about most things, but she, like my brother, is an excellent warrior, and is loyal to the things she cares about. Her boyfriend is Zuko.

Aang is...the last airbender, but more importantly, the avatar. He knows all four elements: fire, water, air and earth, and is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. He truly cares for every living thing, and will avoid killing if he can help it. He is the bravest man I know, and has the hardest burdens to bear over everyone in our world.

He is...very special to me.

[identity profile] its-keeper.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't call what we do "bending." I've seen Zuko firebending, and it's way more artistic than what we do. There's lots more . . . movement involved.

I can't wait to meet Aang. You talk about him so much and he sounds like a great guy . . .

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 10:34 am (UTC)(link)
Controlling the elements is never anything to look at lightly though, right?

I'm hoping we can FIND him, actually.
