Magic? There are abilities which are functionally indistinguishable from what you would call magic, especially those which come from the Spice. I myself am not a believer in the unexplainable. Even those of you who come from worlds which are mystical in nature, if you dig deep enough you will find a physical force that obeys its own laws.

Physical laws? There are the deities who hold power over the laws of magic, and all deities aid in providing healing magics to their priests and holy paladins.

Still, what science could account for the binding of a soul to steel and bone?
