We are not bitter. They paid an excessive price for it and we have been free for a long time.

How does death sound? After my ancestors escaped, they became paranoid, having no way of knowing what the home planet was planning to do to them, wether they were going to send a fleet after us.

So they attacked first, destroyed their city, massacred them until they went tumbling off into the vacuum.
