Those are the Oakley Carbon X boxers, and these things ain't cheap either, starting at $100 a pair. But why does Leon wear them? Not because he's prissy, but because those things are fucking FLAME PROOF. You can hold a blowtorch to his crotch and his nuts won't feel a thing.

He switched to them early in his career after getting a little too close to a car bomb in Belarus. The heat melted the elastic in his drawers, some of which melted on to his hip, and several layers of skin had to come off when it was removed. (which explains that one scar on the left side of his hip, Claire. The ones on his right are an entirely different adventure. Ask him about Botswana sometime.)

That would take forever with Leon.

As far as headcanon goes, he has at least 2-3 dozen scars on his body. I generally write them off as they fade light on him, so you don't notice unless you're right up on him, but he's all but covered in them.

Claire's got a few but since she's more in danger of papercuts working for TerraSave, usually, most of them are from when she was a kid or the various outbreaks she's gotten herself mixed up in.
