Gleefully stolen from [livejournal.com profile] mutantprom...

Because we needed another meme, amirite? Anyway, here's the...

HEARTMETER❤MEME

Here's how we play:
❤ Comment as your character. (One comment per character. No spam, y'all, no matter how much you want to.)
❤ Reply to other characters.
❤ Use the heart meter below to show them how you feel-- honestly.
❤ Respond to everyone who responds to you.
❤ The code for this meme is a property of [livejournal.com profile] stutterbird, and this meme has been lovingly stolen from [livejournal.com profile] mutantprom.

Here's the HEARTMETER:

"I would kill you."

"I would physically or emotionally hurt you."

"I wouldn't hurt you, but I still don't like you."

"You scare or intimidate me."

"I would stupidly hero-worship you."

"I would like to get to know you better or meet you."

"I would spend time/have fun/be friends with you."

"I respect you."

"I would rescue you or fight by your side."

"I reluctantly have something resembling parental feelings and/or responsibility toward you."

"I would get drunk with you."

"I would hug you or hold your hand."

"I would kiss you."

"I would date you."

"I would have sex with you."

"I would love you."

"This isn't a heart. This is me trolling you."

Such is the better speculation of many. I do not know how such things work where you come from, but one might think that if a condition is met, what held you to bone would thus be absolved,no? Is it not a proper thing for one to at least attempt to give another a second...or even third chance at life? I suppose that means more to one who has been reduced to bone. Life is the greatest of things to bestow, such a thing should be guarded and protected, for most beings have a dearly limited time to live.

Words cannot express how pleasant it is to smell and to taste and to feel again.

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Such things we who have not been struck without take for granted. One may say that such is the same for me in only one regard. I was in such seclusion for years that I had nearly forgotten what it was like to have proper interaction with others. I lack the skill to express how wonderful it is to be in a place with so much diversity and life.

I hope you are able to keep this form of yours. It suits you well.

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 06:42 pm (UTC)(link)
It does. You have a good, proper face and form, and you wear it well. Some are not comfortable in their own bodies, after all. They slouch and hold ill-posture, but you do not. And this is a hardship for the eyes, though nor were the bones.

But then, it is not the face we wear, but how we project ourselves through it that makes us who we are.

[identity profile] akingredeemed.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
It would reflect ill on the order of the Paladins of Tyr if one of their own were to slouch.

And my mother would never forgive me.

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Then it is good that you have proper posture. [laughing]

...what are mothers like? I have not ever had one myself, so I do not honestly know. I do sense my own among my mothers-within, but she is an oddly silent sort of presence.

[identity profile] akingredeemed.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Mine was ... it is hard to explain.

She was at once the most loving and compassionate woman I have ever known, and also the strictest and most tyrannical abomination I had ever had the misfortune to run afoul of.

Such is the way of mothers.

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
That is an odd contradiction of attributes. But understandable from certain standpoints. I did not see...the first set, but mostly the second, from my Bene Gesserit Order. I have found more positive attitudes among my Jed-Eye. Some family and friends, they are not born to, but acquired.

[identity profile] akingredeemed.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I left home at but eleven springs. I did not return for many more years after.

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)
You had not much time, then. For myself, I was born and given over to the Order at once. I had no memory of my mother at all.

[identity profile] akingredeemed.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Such were the burdens and responsibilities of nobility. What we want is very rarely what is allowed us.

[identity profile] akingredeemed.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
This became even more obvious once I ruled over my own kingdom.

[identity profile] akingredeemed.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
But no longer am I a king or noble. I am simply me.

It is an odd feeling.

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree, it is a strange thing to not be what you once were. It is the same for me as a Jed-Eye. I am still partially bound the the Order, but yet not. And still, I am...new.

Perhaps it is a bit like being reborn, your options are all new and you could be anyone you wish to be.

[identity profile] akingredeemed.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I am a Paladin still. Reborn might I be, but my path remains true.

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm, what do...pal-dins do?

[identity profile] akingredeemed.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Paladins are defenders of those who cannot defend themselves!

We protect the meek! The weak! Man, woman and child alike!

Paladins hold to no mortal authority, and we are guided directly by Tyr's will.

We are knights in service to the world and her peoples, and we stand our ground. We are strong, proud warriors who wield sword and faith as one!

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
That is a good thing to be. I am well pleased to be in such good company.

[identity profile] akingredeemed.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Thou wouldst do me too much honor, milady.

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
It is a good thing to know you stand next to someone who shall fight for such a thing as you pal-dins stand for. I give all my respect to you for such a calling. You will have your back watched and guarded, Khel. This is my promise.

[identity profile] akingredeemed.livejournal.com 2010-01-10 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
And honored shall I be to fight with thee by my side.
