WAKING UP!

Your character is in a nice, warm bed, wearing their bedclothes (or lack thereof) of choice. It's comfortable, it's fluffy, and it's great...

Unfortunately, someone's in bed with them. They might roll over and accidentally cop a feel before waking up fully, they might notice the heat on their backs, but whatever the case may be, there's someone in there with them. They could easily remember the night before, how that happened, but...

Where's the fun in that?

[Billy is curled into a tight ball on the other side, shivering. Why so cold?

He might be flopping an arm over the whole bundle in an effort to warm up.]

[Oh my god, someone hit her! Clearly the only possible response is to partially wake up and scoot away from the flaily thing.]

... hm?

Mmph.

[Don't take his warm thing away! It's coming for you like a shark to blood...actually more like a sleeping person who's rather cold to a blanket]

[Moving without looking is a bad plan. A really bad plan, as it turns out, as Wyn moves a little too far to the right and ends up falling halfway off the bed.]

WHOAmygod!

[Yep, she's awake now.]

[Inch. Inch. As it turns out, the combination of the yelp and his head suddenly not being supported by anything wake Billy up too. Except he can't really see, so he'll be squinting at her.]

...Wyn? Are you okay?

[He's confused, now, and a little afraid. How did he end up there? She'll think he---oh no.]

'm good! Y'know what time it is? [She's still a little bit upside-down, but it's cool. It's invigorating this early in the morning]

It's...uh...I have no idea, actually.

[Now that he's conscious enough to fully comprehend her predicament, he pulls back, fumbles for an arm, and tugs her torso back onto the bed. He sits up and starts searching for his glasses, quite self-conscious at the moment.]

I can't remember falling asleep last night. I never intended to encroach on your space, Wyn. I'm sorry.

[Wyn drags the blankets back onto the bed as Billy pulls her up, and she wraps them around herself as she sits cross-legged.]

... weird, me neither. Don't worry about the space-encroaching thing, though. [They're both dressed, which Wyn is taking as a good sign that nothing untoward happened.]

True, I think you were safe. Especially considering that you were shielded by the blankets.

[Nope, not grumbling about the cold at all. He's searching the nightstand for his glasses---gosh, where are they?]

Do you feel normal? Any lingering headaches or pains? [He doesn't think anyone was assaulted, but he has to be sure.]

No headaches except for the one that means 'give me caffeine before I hurt all of you', no bruises, no feelings of being psychically violated, and no almond aftertaste. I think I'm all right. [Wyn's world is a little... different.]

That's a considerable relief. [He'll check over himself later, but he thinks he's okay. Aha! His fingers have finally found his glasses, and now they sit crookedly on his nose.]

In that case, I should probably get you a mug of coffee. My next invention will be a bedside coffeemaker.

[Sensors register 'cold', which helps him wake up and-- why was he asleep in the first place? It's not like 80+ hours in a lab is going to make him that tired...

Apparently the cold is because of the bundle of blankets to the side. It takes him a minute to notice there's a head in there.]

[Waaaaaaaaait wait wait. Both eyes open now. As it turns out, panic is also good for waking all the way up.]

[Lucky panic works just as well, as there's no coffee and you have a robo-teen sitting cross-legged on your bed and staring down at you Wyn.]

I was just asking you that. I don't have an memory of how I got here.

[Wyn might be awake now, but there's no way she's getting out from under the blankets. It's warm.]

I have no idea how we got here, eithe-- are you wearing Superman pajamas?
