WAKING UP!

Your character is in a nice, warm bed, wearing their bedclothes (or lack thereof) of choice. It's comfortable, it's fluffy, and it's great...

Unfortunately, someone's in bed with them. They might roll over and accidentally cop a feel before waking up fully, they might notice the heat on their backs, but whatever the case may be, there's someone in there with them. They could easily remember the night before, how that happened, but...

Where's the fun in that?

"Nah. 'S been a bit more'n a year, I think. If anybody s'much as suggests I try t' fly..."

[She shakes her head a bit]

"...Anyway. I don't know what's happened or in which hell. An' considerin' it'll be a while 'afore I work up the grit t' shift back, now might be a good opportunity t' test if I'm still as intimidating as I remember."

[He smiles wryly, strapping on his sword.]

At least you can fly. And, you're a dragon, even if you are the smallest one I've ever seen. Most of the people here are startled when they see me, and I'm half your size.

"Heh. 'S true." [She nods, an exaggerated movement due to having a much longer neck than she's become accustomed to. Then a pause.]

"Ehm, my 'pologies for whatever this was. Once I figure out what it was. 'Cause someone's bound t' know and I've never met a man that'll not tell me something once I've roared in 'is face."

[Actually she has, but she finds this a more elegant way of putting it.]

Believe me, I intend to bash as many heads in as I need to, to find out what the hell is going on here.

[Pause.]

[Hisk picks her way over toward the door, getting the hang of this again and managing to negotiate a space that's smaller than is comfortable.]

"Well, honestly, I think I might be alright. Considering they 'aven't run you off with spears and torches. Tha's why I started bein' human to begin with, way back when."

[He snorts, amused.]

That's one benefit of this place. No one hates me for being a draconian.
