WAKING UP!

Your character is in a nice, warm bed, wearing their bedclothes (or lack thereof) of choice. It's comfortable, it's fluffy, and it's great...

Unfortunately, someone's in bed with them. They might roll over and accidentally cop a feel before waking up fully, they might notice the heat on their backs, but whatever the case may be, there's someone in there with them. They could easily remember the night before, how that happened, but...

Where's the fun in that?

[Excellent question, Kaylee. Jamie finally takes a good look around at his surroundings. There's a sword hanging from one fleshy wall, a little stand of some sort with his bagpipes resting on it, and other little things that pretty clearly indicate that, yes, it is Jamie's bunk. He gives her a sheepish look.]

Um...aye. It's mine.

[A rather alarmed expression crosses his face and he looks over across the room - the other bed is empty. He lets out his breath in sheer relief.]

Fitz isn't here.

[Thank goodness for small favors. He turns back to Kaylee and looks her up and down - not in a lascivious way. He's only trying to get an idea of her relative size. Jamie's not very tall, but she doesn't appear to be that tall either.]

I might be able to find ye an extra shirt. It should fit ye, I think.

[ Right, then, so only she got moved? She's starting to wonder if she just didn't end up really, REALLY drunk last night...but she's pretty sure she'd have a splitting headache right now if she'd had enough to make her forget completely. ]

[ She follows his gaze over to the other bed--ah, roommate? Probably. ]

Anythin'd be nice... [ It's a reassurance, really. She can handle walking down the halls in a shirt that might as well just be a minidress. It's better than nothing at all. ] If you've got somethin' you wouldn't mind me borrowin', I mean.

My roommate.

[He's actually fairly grateful that he's in his own quarters, because his kilt should be...right where he left it. He abandons the bed to retrieve it.]

Hang on.

[A few moments later, he returns in his kilt, holding out his spare shirt for Kaylee. Like the one he's wearing, it's slightly longer, so should cover the parts that need to be covered.]

Here ye are. If ye don't think it's long enough, go ahead and use the sheet too. I'll be fine with just the blanket for a wee bit.

[ While she's waiting for Jamie, she takes a look around the room. There's always a lot to learn about a person, after all, by just what all they keep around. The sword's a bit confusing, but the bagpipes are all Jamie, no doubt about that. ]

Get much playin' done, since ya popped?

[ She takes the shirt with a grin, and slides it on behind the sheet before standing up. It's not the longest thing she's ever worn, but it'll work just fine. ]

Naw, this'll be shiny. Xie--er. Thanks, Jamie.

[He smiles at the mention, and nods.]

Aye. I actually go out to the City when I want to practice with the full pipes. Most of the time ye never see another soul down there, so ye aren't bothering anyone.

[While Kaylee's getting dressed, Jamie is doing the gentlemanly thing and very carefully not looking in her direction. He'll just admire the claymore on the wall instead. Once it's safe, he turns back and smiles again.]

[ She's glad he's had some time for it, then. Everybody could use a little break, and a taste from home. ]

Well, keep at it, and if anybody's bothered I'll give 'em a good tongue lashin' for ya.

[ All smiles now. She heads for the door. ]

I'll get it back to ya once I've found me own.

[He chuckles.]

Usually the pipes drive them away, but if I ever have any problems like that, I'll let ye know.

[There's a smile as well, before he waves.]
