It's meme time again!

What D&D class and alignment would your character be?

"Character class is a fundamental part of the identity and nature of characters in the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. A character's capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses are largely defined by their chosen class."

Here, we have the basic 3rd Edition classes.

If you really want to get into it, you can check out the prestige classes, too. :D

-----

"Alignment is a categorization of the ethical and moral perspective of people, creatures and societies."

The list is here!

-----

To start things off, my character actually has an official D&D character sheet.

Class (you don't have to throw in the numbers here like I did :D;) - Sorceror 5/Fighter 4/Legendary Tactician 3
Alignment - Lawful Neutral

Go!

Class: Starship Captain 20/Awesome 20/Badass 20
Alignment: Whatever the fuck alignment he wants to be. He's Captain James T. Kirk.

[identity profile] captain-jtk.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
Abilities: Ripped Shirt - Whenever the first attack of combat aimed at you does not instantly kill you, you gain +20 to hit, +20 to damage.

[identity profile] captain-jtk.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
Abilities: Red Shirt - You may summon 2d4 redshirts to aid you in combat. In addition, whenever you are struck by an attack and a Red Shirt is within five feet of you, you may automatically switch places with the Red Shirt and they take the hit in your place.

The number four rule of why a Dune pen and paper RPG would never work: "Detect evil" replaced with fucking useless "detect shades of grey"

Fletcher:
Class: Druid
Alignment: Lawful Good

Oethel:
Class: Scholar? You can be a scholar, right?
Alignment: Chaotic good

Okay, so here goes... I know nothing about D&D, so somebody correct me if I do it wrong. xD

Wyn will eventually be a rogue, because she is going to essentially be capable of very, very short-range teleportation and slightly longer-range apportation. And besides, stealth is pretty much the only way she's going to be able to win a fight. If I'm understanding alignments correctly, I think she's Chaotic Good.

Hunter is a cleric because... well, he's a healer. I'm leaning towards Neutral Good for him, because he tends to be altruistic and conscientious and generally tries to cooperate with authority figures.

Ava is a sorceror. Innate talent, with a limited range of spells but lots and lots of destructive force? Check, check, and check. Alignment-wise... eh, she's whichever alignment is 'don't give a fuck.'

I totally fail at D&D but I'll try :P

Samus is a fighter cause, uh, she uses weapons and things and I figured that just fit her best. For alignment, I'd say she's neutral good. You could make the argument that she's chaotic good as she does dislike regulations that get in her way, but she won't have a problem with them if they really are for the greatest good. She's not afraid to break laws to do good, but she's not going to break laws to do good if she doesn't have to.

Mei Ling would be a Cleric, I suppose. She seems healerish. She's also neutral good. She aides Snake in his doing good even if she is breaking a few laws along the way.

Indy would be a Ranger maybe? I don't know. Also he is so lawful good that he's an example on the alignment page.

Scout is another fighter. And he's chaotic neutral. He fights and does what he want. He'll do what you want, too, but you have to pay him first.

Rhiow
Class: Wizard (obviously)
Alignment: Neutral Good. Rhiow will follow her Oath above and beyond any law anyone tries to impose on her.

Grim Eyes
Class: Ranger
Alignment: Chaotic Good. She wants to do what's right but her social blinders make it hard.

[identity profile] riseupnchargem.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
Class - Wizard. Not the best at direct combat, Jamie tends to work better in a support role.
Alignment - Neutral Good. He generally respects rules and regulations, but when in doubt tends to defer to what he feels is right or fair.

[identity profile] sgmitchell.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 08:08 am (UTC)(link)
Class: Fighter (Though Horizon Walker is tempting XD)/Knight
Alignment: Lawful Good
starlightace: (Default)

[personal profile] starlightace 2010-02-06 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
Nanoha is a Sorcerer - powerful innately, but her repertoire is limited.

She's also Neutral Good: She expects people underneath her to obey her commands and fights in an army for a government, but she's also been known to disobey orders, either to save her subordinates or because she thinks they're misguided.

[identity profile] historyisme.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 08:22 am (UTC)(link)
Class: Samurai
Alignment: This one's a tough one, but I've gotta call it by his definition and motivations. Which would be Chaotic Good. He disdains law, but does what he does because he feels he's bettering the world. There is something of a tendency toward Neutral Evil in his outright actions, though.

[identity profile] midgar-flowers.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 08:24 am (UTC)(link)
Class: Druid
Alignment: Per rules, she must be True Neutral, but she has a definite tendency toward Neutral Good.

[identity profile] noonegoeshome.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 08:27 am (UTC)(link)
Class: Fighter
Alignment: Neutral Good, but there's a certain leaning toward True Neutral, because he does what needs to be done. He isn't one for law, but he's not all about the individual, either. He can and does sacrifice for the greater good. So NG it is.

[identity profile] dancewithdice.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
Class: Huh. Rogue/Swashbuckler, probably
Alignment: Chaotic Good (But shh. Don't tell anyone about the good part.)
prettycoolguy: (Default)

Did someone order a teal deer?

The Chief
Class: Warlord
Alignment: Neutral Good
He's definitely a force of good and willing to give life and limb for what he's sworn to defend, but he can take or leave the rules depending on whether they keep him from doing his job and if he thinks it matters enough, or is wasting time and therefore lives. Red tape frustrates him, but so do outright rebels and scofflaws. He won't shuck the rules for the hell of it and really has no axe to grind over that. He's just extremely practical and for the now.

Jack Spicer
Class: Rogue
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Jack's mostly a selfish git. He's loud, stubborn, a show off, and works almost entirely for his own betterment while not caring who or what he steps on to get his way. And he'll occasionally throw in a dash of cruelty for the dramatic 3v!l effect. He's poorly organized, easily distracted, and tends to not stick to things well. While Jack could likely change (he is known to occasionally show little flickers of compassion and altruism) this is the best alignment I could find for him as he is right now.

Bella
Class: Barbarian
Alignment: Lawful Stupid Good
Bella's stubborn, hard-headed, and impossible to argue with to the point of being nonsensical on occasion. Especially if it's about something her elders taught her was Very Bad. She sees the world in clear slashes of black and white. Most of the trick with Bella, however, is to find ways to present things to her that bend around her preconceived notions. Due to this, she's proven to be oddly open minded.

Dexter Grif
Class: Fighter
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Grif doesn't give a damn about much of anything as long as it's not directly affecting him. He's lazy and cowardly but also fairly opinionated, a conspiracy theorist, and enjoys sticking it to "the man". He likes his personal freedoms, hates being bossed around, and while he doesn't usually actively seek to hurt people he also doesn't go out of his way to help them either, with the exceptions of family and the rare close friend.

Vega Obscura
Class: Fighter
Alignment: Lawful Good, leans slightly Neutral Good
Vega's a Good kid being raised by an Evil bunch. They've mostly accomplished this by sheltering him heavily from the outside world and not really paying attention to his moral development, and just assuring him that Everything Is Fine if he ever thinks to ask, which he often doesn't. The thing about Vega is he doesn't understand a lot of what's going on around him and isn't bothered by that. If he knew what he were being used for, he wouldn't like it a bit. The problem is he tends to zone out and not pick up on the larger consequences of the actions he's encouraged to take. He's also, well, a kid. It's hard for him to wrap his mind precisely around his own capacity for injuring or potentially even killing people from the safety of a secure Zoid cockpit, and he unconditionally trusts the adults making the rules around him to have the best interests at heart and will (mostly) stick to them. (Unless they involve homework. :P)

Hisk Longwing
Class: Ranger
Alignment: True Neutral
Hisk is an opportunistic person. She'll scam people as often as she'll be honest, it mostly involves weighing her odds of success and what she has to lose or gain. (For example, in the ship's closed community where she can't slip away to avoid consequences she'll most likely behave.) She finds the ideas of definite good and evil laughable, and laws too restrictive while attempting to overthrow them is a waste of energy. The only thing that really binds Hisk is Hisk. She is good to the few she cares about (These being her friend Sullivan, her brothers, and to some extent her parents) but usually she's wary of committing herself to anyone's welfare but her own.

"But that can't be D&Dified!"

[identity profile] bluebrassmonkey.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I have actually tried D&Difying my critter...with no luck but who knows. I've not had much experience with it, so I could be completely out of my depth! :-)

[personal profile] not_the_philistine 2010-02-07 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
Goliath
Class: Barbarian
Alignment: Neutral Good. He'd be happy to work more with human law, if, you know, it recognized his existence, and wasn't strongly biased against him for all the times he's been framed for stuff, and all the technical crimes he's actually committed re: destruction of property and assault and such. He also put some significant points in overcoming the whole Barbarian illiteracy issue.

Aaaand I'll get the rest later because I'm tired.

Sheik:
Class: Rogue / Bard - he's a sneaky musician. Probably more a Rogue, given the whole... lawful thing not meshing well with Bards.
Alignment: Lawful neutral - he basically does what tradition and the Royal Family tells him to do, including technically dodgy stuff.

Zelda:
Class: Proooobably Sorcerer - she's a magic user who isn't strong in melee combat (so not a Cleric), and it appears to be more innate than learned (so not a Wizard).
Alignment: Lawful good

Kim:
Class: ...I honestly have no idea o.o
Alignment: Neutral good

[identity profile] bears-omnitrix.livejournal.com 2010-02-07 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Ben
Class: Druid - because he's always shapeshifting
Alignment: Chaotic Good with a slight leaning towards Neutral considering what he's done in the past.

Matt
Class: Paladin - he's such a pally
Alignment: Chaotic Good much like Ben

Rein
Class: Mage. Doi.
Alignment: Chaotic Good which is surprising cause you'd think she'd be lawful good.

[identity profile] falseswordsgirl.livejournal.com 2010-02-16 07:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Class: Wizard/Fighter/Spellsword

Alignment Neutral Good

Ariadne armor and sword probably have some quality that requires Spellsword levels AND the armor would have a lower Spell Failure percentage (to go with Spellsword ability).
