Tell Me Why...

Since everything in the world begs questions, and we would all love to have answers to the "Why"s...and we can't always have those answers. However, on the meatship crack-comm, we can. I thought that this meme would be stimulating for the brain and considerability of our persons.

The game is simple:

1. Post a comment of your character accepting/not-accepting-but-making-due-with being part of the meme
2. Other characters comment on the first comment with questions. Anything goes.
3. The character being questioned answers the questions. Truthfully. You're allowed to gracefully skirt around answering a particular part.
4. Enjoy.

What allows you to think optimism is an adequate defense on this ship?

Ain't defense so much as the state of mind. If everybody's down and out, nobody's gonna be lookin' at the brighter possibilities, right? That we could maybe do somethin' different to help us get through tough times. Somebody's gotta have an optimistic point, or we're all figurin' we're dead in the water with no way to go.

Optimism is fine-to a point. Keep in mind that those not looking on the bright side are most likely the same people who are preparing for worst case scenarios

Encountering zombies and space pirates does that to a crew.
