apping?
I see an enterprising player has linked this comm to the
app_this_plz meme.
If you're a player that's strayed over from the meme and is interested in joining, consider this a place to comment with question thingamajibbers, if you have any.

Well, here goes nothing...
When you are considering what and would not be an AU character for the game, where would be the cut-off in terms of canon?
If it was a character from a TV show, for instance, would you allow for applications that only deal with the canon established on the TV show or would they have to include any canon that was added in comics or books written after the show ended?
I did see a request for an Eighth Doctor from the EDAs in the wanted list, so I'm guessing there is at least some non-show canon allowed, but I was more curious for people who may not be familiar with that type of canon.
(And I am kicking myself for the 17th millionth time for not having the cash to get the EDAs, because otherwise I'd seriously consider putting in an application for Eight.)
Re: Well, here goes nothing...
I'm not sure what we're counting, in terms of other canons, but for Doctor Who we're obviously counting the EDAs. I mean, we have Fitz. But, um, as far as not knowing the optional-extra canon... There's ways to work around that, I think. In the instance of the Doctor, there's the whole 'Eight was a bag of amnesia' bit, so things could be fuzzy, and the Doctor's habit of avoiding ex-Companions. But, I mean, I'm sure we could figure something out, either giving you access to the canon, or a brief, general overview, or just playing Eight from only movie canon! Heck, we could probably even work out something if you wanted to play him from BFA, though that might be tricky (because of poor Fitz).
So basically, summing up... we could totally figure something out, in some form or other, to make it work.
(And dude, if you wanted and weren't adverse to other means of acquiring, I might be able to get you the EDAs in pdf format. Because as much as I'm trying really hard to acquire the hardcopy, I needed something for the interim.)
