In which Col does something lame
OKAY I have decided I am going to be incredibly lame awesome and do a project in which I create a set of T9 playing cards (Standard 52 deck + 2 Jokers), so this post is half a meme and half a give Col ideas post.
So what card would your character be? Why?
Samus would be theking Queen of Spades. Spades or Clubs seem to be the only suits that fit her well enough. I can't really think of a number that 'fits' her, so queen just seemed appropriate.
Indy would be the three of hearts. Three because he's part of an awesome trilogywe shall not mention that fourth movie and hearts because he's always going for after what he loves the most, knowledge. That was lame, I'm sorry.
Scout would be the eight of diamonds. Eight because he's the youngest of eight. Diamonds because he has to be a red suit.

Ava is the Six of Hearts, which signifies "great promise". Ava's got definite potential, but she's been refusing to live up to her promise so far.
Hunter is the Six of Spades, which "signifies caution, most of the time." He's cautious, all right. Possibly too cautious, but only time will tell.
Wyn is the Five of Clubs. "Versatile, restless, inquiring, and forever seeking with an ever changing mind; the 5 of Clubs is a young soul who is never satisfied with the answers they find."
(Lyle is the Two of Diamonds, which indicates "secrets and clandestine activities", and Brainy is the Jack of Spades, who is "usually intellectual rather than emotional in how he views the world, he seeks justice and is judgmental by nature." :3)

'[Clubs] contain aspects focusing on development and growth, creative activity, explosive ideas, innovation and ambition.
It is this suit which tends to get most of the "work" done in terms of societal advancement and progression of thought coupled with future-oriented energy. There is little that can't be accomplished through the more visionary aspects of the suit of Clubs - as long as the rest of the Universe is willing to participate!'

'Analytical, truth-seeking, logical by nature. These individuals are driven by their minds, not their hearts. They are, therefore, not especially emotionally-inclined. Spades people make excellent judges, lawyers, dealers of justice. They also can be difficult to get along with, so caught up in right and wrong.'
Spider-Man is that reference card you get with the rules and winning hands listed.

and Diamonds because...just look at the Ranger uniforms. They're everywhere.

Essentially, the male represented by the Jack is young at heart and still somewhat inexperienced in the ways of life. Jacks don't have an abundance of wisdom to impart...that's considered to be more the King's job in terms of readings and those in your life these cards will come to represent.
And I think I'd say Nine of Hears for Rei, due to the fact that he acts neutrally, and whether was he does is considered good or bad is up to the judgment of others:
Signifies the wish card. This card means nothing by itself. It's the other cards around it they tell whether your wish will be harmful or helpful to you.

Lafiel is the ten of clubs, indicating official natures, government matters, etc. Being officially a head of state and insecure without formality to fall back on, it suits her. Or possibly she is the queen of diamonds, queen for her royal title, diamonds for the shape of the froce organ in her forehead (does that make spaurh the jack?).
Yuri is the seven of hearts, representing pure friendship. Aww.
Isaac is either the six of clubs, representing effort or the nine, representing indulgence and partying.

Characterizes misfortune in readings. This card warns of a major setback; for instance, an unexpected set of circumstances that must be prepared for.
Yue has had several unfortunate setbacks in her life, when she was younger she was unprepared and could not handle them. Now as very capable at preparing for whatever crosses her path. The three setbacks of greatest note for her are:
- Her Grandfather's death.
- Being in a love triangle with her best friend.
- Losing her memory (which at least puts the other two on hold).

Vivio... I'd save Vivio's the two of hearts. Mostly because of her two mamas.
Irma? ...I couldn't tell ya...

Typical playing deck?
Probably eight of diamonds or three of diamonds. Why? In Tarot-speak, when one uses a regular playing deck instead of Tarot (I have seen this done), Diamonds are the Swords. Three of Diamonds in Tarot translates to three of Swords which is depicted as three swords piercing a heart.
Eight of diamonds (or possibly ten if I'm getting this wrong) translates to eight (or ten) of Swords. This card is often in a spread where betrayal either has occurred or will occur.
Jack of diamonds might work, as in Tarot, translates to Knight of Swords.
Ace of Spades, I have heard, sometimes translates as The Fool in Major Arcana and the Fool signifies daring curiosity, the need to explore and push the boundaries.
