...what am I doing?
And on today's menu for silliness, we have the:
COLORS OF LOVE MEME!
The situation: There is a big, glowy, pulsating heart floating in the middle of a mysterious void where all our characters are gathered. For a moment, it does nothing but sparkle innocently. Innocently, I say.

And then?
Beams of colored light shoot out from the heart, slamming directly into every character and overtaking their bodies with a warm sensation. It only takes a second---once it fades, the characters are unharmed. But they sure do feel differently. How differently? Well, that depends on the color of the beam that hit them. Which color, of course, is up to you.
Characters hit by pink beams will feel an intense admiration and desire to be near the first character they see. They will become worshiping fans, stalkers even.
Blue beams merely bring an inclination toward friendliness. It's an opportunity for characters who would otherwise hate each other to talk civilly.
If hit by a red beam, they will feel a romantic attraction to the first character they see. Intense feelings, desires to make people happy, that sort of thing.
If it's a purple beam, lust ensues. If clothes start coming off, though, please take it to personal journals!
Orange beams trigger impulses toward (mostly) innocent physical affection. Lots of hugs and kisses given out here!
As for usage: feel free to either declare what color your character was hit with right away, or wait to know who you're threading with before you make that choice. You can also choose not to have them affected at all, and point and laugh at everyone else's craziness. And you can combine colors, or switch at any time! That heart's gonna hang around and watch the whole thing. Because it can.
If I've missed any fun amorous effects, feel free to make up a beam of your own and I'll add it. Have fun and go crazy! Tweak the effects if you want---if it's one or both, or toward multiple characters, tweak it as you will but just let the people you're threading with know.

I'm told people look for that in a boyfriend. [Grin.] Boating's nice, but you stay dry. Maybe boating under a waterfall? The mist is nice.
no subject
Oh, absolutely! [Not that he has a great track record...the girls keep disappearing on him.] I was actually afraid of getting wet once. It took a monster battle to help me overcome my fear.
Though I wouldn't mind boating under a waterfall now.
no subject
Oh? It's a date, then. [Shoulder-pat. Forget subtle with this guy.]
no subject
Then I accept. Hmm...the energy struck us five minutes ago, and so far we've only arranged a date. Perhaps it's a lead-in to a trap? [Wink.]

no subject
You mean you weren't planning to throw me in the lake? If not, then I'll have to make alternative arrangements.
[Urge to hug rising.]
no subject
[Lyle is capable of the most wicked grins when necessary.]
no subject
You won't---[an attempt at playfully shoving Lyle's shoulders]---expect it!
no subject
[Are we rough housing now? Lyle is a genius at roughhousing as well. Note the careful way he pretends to ignore Billy and then leans his full weight against him in an attempt to push him over.]
no subject
[And he falls for it. Literally. The boy doesn't have as much experience as his friends at this, so he'll just look up, amused.]
Fair's fair, I suppose, but I think I'll prefer landing in the lake. Assuming we don't start our descent too high up.
no subject
[Lyle holds out a hand to help him up. That usually doesn't work.]
We could always go water-skiing or something. Then you're supposed to wind up in the lake.
no subject
[He eyes the hand warily. then draws his feet back and takes it with caution. Another trick?]
I think I'd like that. We'll just have to check the bottom of the lake for monsters.
no subject
[He is perfectly innocent. Well, no, but it's not a trick.]
I did hear something about the lake having a dragon in it.
no subject
[Yay! He's standing again, and giving a thoughtful look.]
Have any deaths been reported? I hope we won't be tasked with slaying a dragon. [Wouldn't that be a fun date?]
no subject
I haven't heard about any deaths. I'd rather study it, myself. [If that's a date, Lyle gets to be the knight, and Billy can be the princess. Lyle wears too many dresses in canon already.]
no subject
Oh, I would too! They're extraordinary creatures. [Fine, he'll be the princess. But only if Princess is allowed to wield his weapon and help too. Meanwhile, Billy will look over Lyle and smile---why, though, is a mystery.]
no subject
Yes, and it's rare to see one. [Of course, this is a liberated age, the Princess may kick ass. He just doesn't want the dress this time.]
