    Life isn’t good, but it’s much better than it was before. Getting there, anyway.

    Cassie stretches, sinking a few more inches underwater, so it goes up to her ears. The Sensoriums are nice, but that’s because it’s the most realistic fake place she’s ever been to in her life. It’s currently set to look like that underground cave-pool thing they had back in their Young Justice headquarters. Who can argue with that?

    Ah, the good old days, when things were simple.

"But she's just looking so gorgeous and invulnerable today," Kon says airily, hugging her close from behind. "I can't hug my girlfriend?"

She laughs, hands lifting to hold onto Kon's arms. She leans her head back for a second to rest it against his shoulder. He can hug her any time.

"Tim, Kon's delicate, you can't be rough with him," she says, obviously teasing. "Besides; love means not letting your boyfriend get killed by an enraged bird."

Cissie lowered her hand, but the smile remained on her face. This all seemed just like old times. Sure they were missing people, but it still felt good to be around her friends.

"How about we all put the killing aside, and settle this a different way?" She really didn't have any ideas on what they could do, but anything was better than watching Kon cower behind Cassie. Plus, she wanted to relax, and this definitely wasn't the way to relax.

"I am not delicate!" Kon insists. "I'm just out of the 'in' in invulnerable."

He looks to Cissie.

"The other option besides 'killing' had better not be 'maiming.' That's still no good."

Tim gives Cissie a thoughtful look. "I am intrigued by your offer of alternatives, and would like to subscribe to your newsletter. Any ideas?" He can always retaliate in kind... Hm.

She shakes her head and sighs. Looking to each of her friends as she quickly comes up with something.

"No Kon, I'm not going to suggest he maim you. But maybe.. hmmm." She gives a rather large smile before tilting her head to the side. It could work, if they did this right. And it'd let Tim get a bit of revenge on Kon. Plus, it'd be nice to just pretend to be kids again.

"How about a game of Tag?"

"Tag?"

Kon frowns, trying to figure out how tag could be twisted to be bad. It's just a game, right? Either way, he severely underestimates the wickedness of Cissie's imagination.

He really should know better.

"I guess that'd be okay..."

"Could mix that up as hide-and-go-seek tag," Cassie suggests.

Think of all the places you could run and hide in Stacy's endless... stuff.

Tim eyes them all thoughtfully, then nods. "Tag could work. And--" he grins. "I like hide-and-go-seek."

"So then it's settled. We'll play a hide-and-go-seek tag. And since I came up with it, I get to say who's it. And I pick..." She looked around at her three friends and then grinned widely at Kon.

"Tim." With that she was off. Might as well get a head start on the others.

"No fair!" Tim shouted after her, laughing. "I wanted to hide!"
