Kala's mind is, on the surface, icy. It's cool and crisp like a snowcone on a hot day. Beneath a very thick casing of ice are lights, swirling maelstroms of lights that are mostly gold, white and sparks of green and blue.
These lights are locked away and tightly controlled for they're the magic elements that Kala controls (to some success) each and every day. Mostly, there is wind, a steady breeze of it no matter where you turn. If you walk across tht thick surface of the ice, in any given direction, you'll notice that your feet have now hit a jungle's undergrowth that gives way to brightly lit, glowing specimens of plant and animals.
This is Antedis, a living world that possesses just enough sentience to exact its own revenge against trespassers or those who harm it. Kala, through her magic is tied to it in ways she can't even begin to express...or know about. Everyone who leaves Antedis must come back...somehow.
They are compelled.
In the center of that vast jungle is a massive crystal growth--it is black with blue sparkling whorls that glint with flecks of gold and slices of other colors that seem to flow together, cycling over and over and over.
There are no people. There were never any people at all, though if you turn, you might catch movement out of the corner of your eye.
