Fate's mind is a house. She's a very family-oriented person, so this really isn't too much of a surprise. The whole place gives off a feeling of calmness, and of security.

There are pictures everywhere. In the living room are pictures of most of her family; her mother Lindy, her brother Chrono and his wife Amy, and their two children. On the walls of the hallways are pictures of Teana, Subaru, Erio, and Caro... the four Forwards of Section Six. There are a few more of the latter two, since they were her team and her dear children.

One room is a child's room. There are a few stuffed bunnies on the bed, and more pictures on the walls; this time, of just Fate and Vivio. These don't have varying ages, of course, since Vivio is still a fairly new addition to the family.

The room across from that is obviously Nanoha and Fate's. It's simple, with a large bed and neat furniture, and of course, the pictures; they're all hanging on the wall against the bed, and like in the living room, they're from various stages in the two girls' lives. You can almost feel the love surrounding the room, added on to the comforting presence in the rest of the house.

There is, however, one part of this home where those feelings don't reach. The door to the basement is shut and locked tightly, but if you manage to pry it open...

It's dark, save for a slight purplish glow that comes from nowhere, and the whole place reeks of despair. If one listens closely, they may here the cries of a little girl, or the insane laughter of an older woman, or even the crack of a whip.
