Finally, good and proper clothes. Oh how she missed such trivial things over the past who knows how long on this vessel. Unlike Ciara, Aine did not put much care into clothes. So long as they fit, did not get in the way of her fighting, were sufficient for the weather. She could wear just about anything. Similarly her hair was styled in whatever way kept it out of the way during her activities.

However, right now she took GREAT pleasure in removing the plantsuit, and great time in trying each and every different article of clothing she had acquired. For now she wore each item one at a time, simply checking to see how they fit. Once she had removed the items that did not fit, she moved on to deciding what articles looked best together. Which was an odd thing for her to focus on, but for now it kept her busy. And kept her smiling, which was far more important at the moment.

Right now, she had on a pair of dark blue 'jeans,' as the merchant called them. With a lacy blue garment underneath, it went with the lacy blue garment she wore to keep her boobs in place, a 'bra.' At home you just wrapped bandages over your chest if you were large in that area. Over that she had a sleeveless white thing with a low collar, she did not normally go for visible cleavage at home. However here she had taken some fun out of the fact that the ship could not handle human flesh. It also showed off her Silver Heart, which she did not mind. It was part of who she was.

Finally she put on a pair of fingerless gloves, she stared at them a moment. White and silky, unfit for such surroundings. The material felt so nice on her skin, and the merchant was kind enough to modify them for her palm gems to function properly. She did not want to score or damage the gloves with her powers. She put her mother's holsters back on, her father's coat, and her glasses. Examining herself in the mirror. Her eyes kept returning to these silly gloves. She picked up other gloves, more designed for work, and for function, but right now, these long fingerless gloves had her attention.

She wondered what the others would think of them, not so much out of care for their opinions. But if others were as fond of these garments as she was, right now. Especially after so much time in those wretched suits.

The Doctor had left his bag of sweets sitting out on the console of the TARDIS again. As Jamie wandered by, he picked up the bag, intending on stealing one or two pieces for himself. He stopped, however, when he heard an unfamiliar rattling noise from within. Curiously, he opened the bag and peered in. "Doctor, what are these?"

"Hmm?" replied the Doctor. "Ah. It's something new, Jamie. Mini-jawbreakers. Try one. They're quite nice, actually."

Jamie fished out one of the small, round candies and brought it up to look at it. "I wonder why such a wee thing is called a jawbreaker?"

He popped it into his mouth and bit down - and grimaced as a sudden shooting pain radiated along his jawbone. Bringing his hand to his cheek, he rubbed at it ruefully.

The Doctor was looking at him with a rather apologetic expression on his face. "Oh, Jamie. You're not supposed to bite them."

Jamie shot him a rather dark look. "Could ye not have told me that the first time?"

It seemed Jamie had been waiting forever to get to do this. First, he had to wait for the Doctor. And then he had to wait until they actually found the TARDIS again. And then he had to wait until the Doctor had convinced himself the TARDIS was okay, and then...

Jamie was very tired of waiting. Finally, however, the Doctor gave his blessing. As the young Scot steered the others through the door, he checked to make sure they weren't peeking. Really, he should have blindfolded them or something for maximum effect, but it hadn't occurred to him at the time. Too late now.

"Ye can go ahead and open your eyes," he said out loud. And to himself, he thought, "This is going to be good."

He was looking to seeing how his friends reacted to being inside the TARDIS for the first time, most definitely.
