Ok, so it was kind of a petty thing to do, a hostile takeover of a company that wasn't even a rival of his own, just so he could shut it down and destroy all the hard work of the person who originally worked so hard to build it. But the guy should've known better than to flirt with Lex's wife the way he did.

Or maybe it wasn't the fact that he flirted with his wife, but that she responded, and what was there between the two went deeper than some tryst.

But why did Lex care? He only married her because Americans don't vote for single politicians. So why did it bother him that his sham of a marriage was threatening to come to an end?
