(no subject)

Because I know I'm not the only one whose thought of this.

It's the....

Ten Years Later RP Meme!

To put it simply, how do you think your character will have developed over ten years on the Good Meatship Stacy?

And playing them like it's ten years later.

[Kyle has grown a bit more gray at the temples, and added a couple of wrinkles too. He still smiles just not as readily. More likely you'll catch him looking serious, and worrying about everyone.]

Physically blind though she might be, her Jed-Eye shine all the brighter through the Force and she's generally quick to find Kyle. Because sometimes the Force doesn't show her everything, Arha's got her cane in hand and has been clincking her way, steadily and with a bit of a limp over to him.

The limp annoys her.

"If you do not smile," Arha said, her voice dry, "I shall have to take steps to make you."

Kyle had known Arha long enough to know that her threat was serious. Just the thought of previous times she'd dragged him out of brooding was enough for a smile to sneak its way onto his face. "You'd think I'd have learned by now to hide better when I'm in a sour mood."

From his tone it was clear he was glad he was terrible at hiding from her.

"Such is better," she said, clearly pleased at the slight smile. "I was always good with finding my Jed-Eye and I am better at it now than before. Perhaps save for Ben. I have a moment of panic when he hides himself." Arha leaned her cane where it was out of the way and slid an arm around his waist.

"I do not like it when I cannot see you," she murmured. "Tsst! It is not as if you are elsewhere. I still see you. This is a good thing."

He chuckled when she talked about Ben. "He does have that affect on people. Trust me when I say he takes after his mother so much it's a bit scary. You know he doesn't mean anything by it. He just likes to torment us."

Sighing he took hold of the hand she had around his waist. Memories of flying, and training together passed through his mind. So many years now. "Besides I'm not going anywhere. Wouldn't want to even if I could. I'm set in my ways you know."

Even after ten years he still enjoyed playing the old man bit sometimes.

Arha made a soft pfft sound, her only comment on the matter of Ben Skywalker. She still worried.

"Old man," she said, teasing him as she curled her fingers around his hand. "Such things you say. I should hunt you down if you did go and drag you back, though Ohm may chase me and burn my tail." Arha wasn't joking, not about that, and there was a ferocity that leaped down her tone like the hiss of a lightsaber.

"All the more reason for me to stay put." Really he didn't have much to complain about. He was still helping to save people. He had students to train, and he could visit anywhere in the universe using the Sensoriums. After ten years the crew had become very important to him. Yet, Jan had never awoken. In ten years of pods popping she'd never shown. One complaint, but what was that amongst all the other things in his life?

A whole kriffing lot that's what.

Arha was silent for awhile, frowning gently before wrapping her arms around him. There were things she could not help and things she could not make better. Such was this thing. It was not hard to see where his thoughts fell.

"Many reasons," she said, leaning into him. "Many reasons to stay. These are reasons for myself, too."

Don't live in the past. His own words reminding him to pay attention to where, and when he was. "Thank you. Sometimes I do let it get the better of me. Even when I shouldn't"

"You would not be yourself if you did not have such moments," she said, her eyebrows arched. The act pulled at the scarring that wound its way down the side of her face. "I think," Arha said quietly, "that most of us do have them. Such are things we are allowed. They balance us between madness and sanity, all of them."

She rested the point of her chin against his shoulder.

"I had hoped, this last pod pop, that there was to be a smile for you. I had hoped this." Arha had the same hope for him every pop without fail. No one from her own planet, either, had come. No one from her Universe. "But, they sleep still."
