(no subject)

Because I know I'm not the only one whose thought of this.

It's the....

Ten Years Later RP Meme!

To put it simply, how do you think your character will have developed over ten years on the Good Meatship Stacy?

And playing them like it's ten years later.

Ten years? I was was in the ninth grade for longer than that.

[Has made it to 22!]

I'm working, so please don't bother me.

[Samus has aged fairly well. She's got some more lines on her face (mostly from her going B( so much) and some gray hairs (mostly from Grif), but other than that, she looks fairly the same.

And she's got the same work-work-work attitude. She's on her omnicomm, probably planning her next training session or finishing up a mission report. She is very focused on this.]

[Appearance-wise, besides a few new scars, Kang hasn't changed one bit. There's a much more content aura around him though, probably due to the fact that six months after he'd woken up, so had his mate and children. He's sitting in the tavern with them, and he's roughhousing going over hand-to-hand combat with the four kids on the stage, about five feet tall, while Fonrar watches.]

[You've seen how Vivio looks when she transforms, right? Well, she's just like that, and has pretty much grown up very well, thanks to Nanoha and Fate's teachings]

[Ten years later... he pretty much looks the same! Darn Kryptonian physiology.]

[You're looking at a 24-year-old Irma, now looking pretty much like her Guardian form.

Sorry, Will - she's pretty damn busty, too.]

[Is exactly the same, except acts much more abrupt and robotic and is willing to put up with increasing amounts of shabbiness in her shells.]

[Kyle has grown a bit more gray at the temples, and added a couple of wrinkles too. He still smiles just not as readily. More likely you'll catch him looking serious, and worrying about everyone.]

[Rei, now 33, looks like even more of a wreck then he already did, having given up on trying to wear clothes in coordination colors (or even from the same time periods) and letting his facial hair grow wild. He's taken up residence in a pod room in the library, where he mostly reads up on history and launches into huge rants. Turns out when you take a person whose powers normally force them to bop around constantly time and space and make them stay in a single ship for ten years, they tend to go more then a little nuts from the cabin fever.]

Arha (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/illusionarymind/arhaaltfin.png) does not look exactly the same. Her hair started to gray shortly after the mission where she'd lost her vision, and almost her life. The scar from an energy blast that ripples down her face is proof of that. She still laughs, brightly, though she's been taken off the wings as a pilot--it upset her, hurt even, to be told she couldn't fly.

She sees through the Force, sometimes clearer than she ever saw with her sharp blue-within-blue eyes, and her lightsaber fighting skills have improved greatly. Every once and awhile her strength falters just a little, her optimism wanes, but with the Force as her guide, she keeps moving. And she does love both her pilots and her Jed-Eye to no end. The hugs are bottomless and the love for her crewmates still as bright as her desert sun.

[Terry is now 28, and has gotten more serious with age. Not Bruce-level serious - he still has a sense of humor, but he's reined it in a bit. He's also finally gotten the point of education, spending more time in the labs and library. Even if he isn't the only Batman around, he's managed to become a damn good one. This has had the effect of him retreating from the rest of the ship more, though, with the exception of giving fighting lessons to any non-powered individuals that wanted them.

He managed not to grow an embarrassing 90s mullet (http://blog.toonzone.net/uploads/images/epilogue.jpg), thank goodness.]

Dean's about the same, more lines around the face, specks of grey at the temples and random hairs in his stubble. (He's thinking of just growing a beard like his old man used to.) More scars too, and weary at times. At times he seems much older, like a man pushing 80 but only if you look very close into his eyes. He still kept up patrolling, and checking for threats to the ship.

Have a woman in her late twenties, who continued keeping her weapons in good shape. She's added some new trick arrows to her quiver from some of the missions and shore leave trips. Also a small music collection of stringed instruments that she'll practice on occasion.

Movie nights are still a fun thing in the media library.

Uhura has changed little, save for the fact that she has grown a little more Vulcan in her demeanor thanks to Spock's teachings. Though her eyes sparkle with humor, she still has a streak of sadness that occasionally shows itself. She stands, back straight, and firmly and fiercely focused on her duty. Behind closed doors, she is a quieter, gentler person.

If you look closely, she has begun to gray just a little. Don't point it out. She has her Vulcan lute out every approximate end of the week and still plays to keep her fingers limber. If she has a small smile on her face and someone wonders why, it's probably thanks to a certain Vulcan. Maybe.

[He's going by Sean now. He finally realized that the ninja name WAS dorky and went back to Sean at about twenty. Now he's in his mid twenties.

Of course, being a ninja it's hard of hard to tell if he's aged.

Except...

Leon's hair still looks fabulous. The rest of him hasn't aged nearly as well, though.

He has a few more lines on his face, though his expression is still constantly :|. He also has a lot more scars to show for his efforts.

[Miku has stayed exactly the same, miraculously. There are a few new scars, but they're covered up by her plantsuit and don't make things very hard on her. Her hair has gotten much longer, but is still kept up in the same-ol' same-ol' bun with it's moonflower pin.

She definitely has Cargn to thank for the safekeeping of her sanity on several occasions now, though. A little train of blue fireballs trails after her as she wanders around the kitchens.]

[In ten years, Spock has changed little, except perhaps to the few who know him very well. Physically, he may have a few more lines around his eyes and mouth, but he is still in peak health. Vulcans, after all, have a longer life expectancy than humans.

Those few that are close to him may see more outward signs of emotion than he would've been willing to express ten years ago. More glimmers of humor, or sadness. But he's still Spock, and still very unlikely to smile.

He has become an expert on the computer systems aboard Stacy. He has, perhaps, helped to form and train a small group of highly skilled programmers, equipped to deal with the vagaries of a sentient starship.

He's also formed a three-dimensional chess club. When not in Neuropathy, or the science labs, or spending time with Nyota, he can be found in the Sensoriums, playing a game with, well... Stacy. He's programmed a holographic opponent to practice against - he's playing the computer.]

She'd given lessons to the students that had come for today, and was happy at how quickly they were progressing. Starting the Bene Gesserit school had not been easy, and she had to go through quite a lot of red tape, but now it had been established and, with Arha's blessing, she had brought about quite a few formidable warrior women. This task had unfortunately, cut into love life, so nothing had happened with anyone, and though it was a lonely state, they WERE still preparing for the Ohm. Katara was not one to shrug off duty for something as frivolous as a love affair.

Katara had never come, and in the quiet pain that accompanied that, she had thrown herself in helping the ship. It was a bitter pill though: responsibility and of course some fun, but the longing for something she could not accurately describe, something that bit at her a little. She knew she looked good, exotic, but there was more than enough to do without trying to play frivolous teenager.

She sighed, taking a cup of tea and sat cross legged, gently meditating. she had all the time in the world for that now.

Julian, well, Lt. Commander Keller now, had managed to grow into more of a leadership role. Which also drew a nice paycheck. Which was good, as he had several kids (by a couple of different crew members) to take care of.

Claire Redfield-Kennedy is now the proud mother of three (four, including Sherry. Ages 7, 5, and 8 months). Despite three pregnancies and being a crew member besides, she's still a Redfield, and the Redfields age quite gracefully. She's got a few more scars than she started out with, and lines starting at the corners of her eyes from smiling, but otherwise she looks just as good as she did when she was 26.

She still works with younger crew members to make sure they're prepared to face any dangers they might have to, but as a whole she's taking a much more relaxed approach to shiplife, and primarily focuses on being a mother. Doesn't particularly matter if the children are biologically hers or not, of course.

At the moment of course, she is mothering her own children, sitting and bouncing her youngest son on her lap while her other son and daughter are playing nearby.

"Hey! Stop pulling your sister's hair!" Obviously they aren't playing well.

KAYLEE FRYE IS DEAD. Come on she's a Whedon character we all expected it.

And since Shaela's a wimp and couldn't take it...

Kaylee is very much not dead, and still smiling as cheerful as ever. She hasn't escaped without scars, though. Engineering mishaps, stray bullets, she definitely hasn't gotten any better at keeping herself out of trouble. At the age of 30, she really hasn't changed much. About the only sign of her aging is around her eyes--little crows feet growing deeper, spreading further. When she's not working down in Engineering--senior staff now, check that out 8)--she's either working more in the ship bay, or giving friendship and nice warm smiles to everyone on board. Ain't a power in the 'verse can stop Kaylee from being cheerful, after all.

[Jamie's hair is a little longer, and there's hints of those forehead wrinkles you get from frowning or laughing too much. In his case, it's a bit of both. He takes his duties on ship seriously but tries to keep it balanced by having a fun as well.

He's about 30 now, and splits his time between Engineering and helping with odd jobs around the ship. He looks forward to the missions maybe a bit more than he should, dangerous or no. They remind him of the pre-Stacy days - and he still misses those.]

[His river's widened and deepened over the years but Haku himself appears virtually unchanged. There are fish now, a few varieties of carp, mostly, and a single heron that came from nobody knows where. His dragon-form is longer, thicker, more powerful— but that's just a reflection on the river's state.

Right now? He's ankle-deep in the shallows, wading among cattails that are nearly as tall as he is.
