The Trapped in an Elevator Meme




Your character steps into an elevator for... whatever reason, up to and including "meme magic, okay?". Someone steps in with him or her and the door closes. It creaks up a few floors-- and then it stops. The emergency button shocks anyone who touches it.

» Make a thread with your character in the trapped elevator. (Assume someone is already in there with them.)
» Another player joins them! And now you know who you're trapped with.

"Would you care for a hand?"

Stephen had tried the emergency button, to judge from the hand-shaking he was doing. Don't ask him why his goggles weren't working. He had no answers. It was pretty obvious from the look on the girl's face, what her plan was, though.

Kate beamed at that, "Yes I would, thank you." She stepped towards him, "Just let me know when ready."

She studied the googles briefly, "Those have a night vision feature on them?"

"They did, they don't seem to be operational right now. I'm not certain why." About the only thing they were functional as were his prescription glasses.

"It wouldn't be the first time I got shock treatment." He bent down a little, lacing his fingers firmly together to make a stirrup of sorts. "All right, boosting on three." Stephen waited for her to get situated, and...

"Damn, of course take away the useful devices. If GLADOS is behind this, she's getting an arrow to her circuits."

She then carefully braced herself on his shoulders, fitting her foot against his hands. And the second he says three, she was jumping up to grab the panel. Luckily she had the strength to hoist herself up.

"--three!" And despite looking like a skinny geek, he seemed to be a strong skinny geek. It wasn't effortless, but he didn't falter, either. "If you think you might be up there a while," Stephen grunted, "try and get your feet on my shoulders? Please?" It pays to be polite.

"GLADOS?" Clearly, someone has not had the ill luck to run into that demented AI, yet. "Problematic, I take it?"
