Song drabble meme!
It's pretty simple and fun, folks. This is how this works!
( 01 ) Have a playlist ready! Don't use all your songs--try and narrow it down a little.
( 02 ) Let everyone know how many songs you're working with. Also, which characters you would be willing to write about.
( 03 ) Others tag your post, picking a character or pairing or friendship or familial relationship or whatever, and then choose a number from your list.
( 04 ) Write a drabble related to that song, using that/those character(s)!

You only have the length of the song to write a drabble!
(Or, you could, you know. Just put the song on repeat until you hit a stopping point. Who's gonna know?)

The crew was arguing. Again. Over what, Leon didn't even know. He managed to listen enough to know that it was something trivial and had absolutely nothing to do with the topic they were supposed to be discussing.
Leon sighed a bit, and looked over at the Master Chief, who glanced back at him with the same quietly pained look. This made Leon chuckle a bit, as the Chief always said that if this crew wasn't arguing about something, then something had gone horribly wrong. So, apparently everything was alright.
This was their world now. Wonderful.

Leon gave his daughter a look. She looked back at him, quite innocent, like she was just his perfect little angel. The two then proceeded to have a conversation in the way only they could, with a very subtle change of facial expressions. Each of which translated into:
So what do you have to say for yourself?
I didn't do anything! See? Innocent.
Uh huh, right.
Seriously, totally innocent.
I know what you did.
I will look sweet and confess to nothing! ...It wasn't that big of a deal anyway.
"You're grounded for a week," he finally said out loud.
"But Daaaad!"
He responded with another look, one that easily said that his decision was final. Sherry huffed, then stormed off.

"I'll be back soon," he told her. It was always one of the last things he usually said to her, whenever he had to go on a mission. It was more than some simple 'see you later', though. He meant every word of it. He'd be back soon, and he had no intention of breaking that promise.
She'd kill him if he ever did.

And from the safety of Neuropathy, Lex watched this on a monitor with keen interest. This budding partnership with GLaDOS was certainly proving fruitful. Now to see what this Kelly-087 could really do without her armor.

"You need to stay away from him!"
Lex sighed, and didn't even bother looking up from his latest project. It was that girl again, Cassie, Nate's little girlfriend. "Is there something you want?"
"Just for you to stay away from my boyfriend."
"I already told you, he's not my type," Lex deadpanned, still not bothering to look at her.
"He's learning how to be evil from you."
"He's learning how to be an adult," Lex responded, "something you clearly never learned. Besides, perhaps you should be talking to your boyfriend instead of trying to distract me. You are the one dating him, for the moment."
"And what's that supposed to mean?"
"It means that these little jealous fits of yours are starting to wear thin with Nate. He's really not sure how long he's willing to put up with that."
"You're wrong!" she snapped. "He'd never leave me!"
"Don't be so sure. Now I suggest you run along, I have work to do."

It was a challenge that was borne out frustration and built up anger. Paco really couldn't take seeing Lex walk around, all smug, like he ruled the place. He couldn't use his metal arm to bash Lex's head in, so after months of angry, frustrated glaring, Paco finally challenged Lex to a duel.
Madden NFL, in the lounge. In front of the whole crew.
Lex won, 38-30. To this day, Paco still claims the game was rigged somehow.

Leon actually looked mildly surprised. "Seriously?"
"Seriously, mi amigo," Luis answered.
"But Kaylee always seemed like the sweetest girl," Leon thought.
"She is," Luis answered. "but that apparently doesn't stop her from being a demon in the sack."

"BITEY!" Kon shouted, as his puppy ran up to greet him. He had just returned from the mission, after a three week absence, and he missed his puppy as much as the puppy missed him.
"That's right, Daddy's home," Kon said, petting and playing with, and happily getting face-licks from his pup.
Lex walked by and briefly looked at the scene, and shook his head as he continued about his business.
